Settling in nicely
We had recently got married and bought our first house, and soon realised that a house is not the same without cats. We had our home visit and were introduced to Millie and Mabel, 6 month old adorable sisters who came in and changed our lives. They have lived with us for almost a year now and have settled in very nicely.
Millie is my wife’s shadow and does not leave her side. She loves to play, to have snuggles and to climb up any furniture. Mabel on the other hand is very much her own cat but makes it known when she is up for any attention, mainly requested from my wife. As both Millie and Mabel followed my wife around, we decided to adopt a third cat, (a boy, formerly known as Felix, whom we have renamed Monty) to give myself a chance of having a snuggle with one of the cats. How wrong was I? After a few weeks Monty had settled in nicely, meowing for more food, attention and play time, safely snuggled in his own room until the time was right to integrate him into the family. Millie has taken to him, running, playing and zooming around the house together. After a few weeks of nervousness he soon made himself very comfortable at home …. and once again has picked my wife to snuggle with and follow everywhere she goes!
