Leila (F) HC4091

Age: 3 years

Leila is a young adult female who is looking for a quiet home in an adult only household.  She does not want to live with children or where there are any other pets – she would like her adult humans all to herself!   She is a petite little girl and initially timid. She will take time to trust you and to settle into a new home, but once settled she will love to go out into the garden, to sit on the sofa with you and to sleep on your bed!  These are all her favourite things now that she has settled into her foster home and regained her confidence (she was bullied by another cat in her previous home).

  • Leila has been neutered, microchipped and is fully vaccinated

Lesley (F) HC4511

Age: 21 months
Lesley is related to Delilah

Lesley is a small bundle of energy. She is very affectionate and will enjoy sitting on your lap once she gets to know you. She's got a good appetite and loves playing with her toys. She likes the other cats in the house, and is friendly with people once she gets to know them. She enjoys going outside and is adventurous and curious.

Lesley must be homed with her sister Delilah. Her foster family is a single person household with three resident cats, so she is looking for a similar household with one or two adults, and maybe a resident cat wanting some new friends.

Lesley is neutered, fully vaccinated and microchipped.

Delilah (F) HC4512

Age: 21 months
Urgent rehoming required
Delilah is related to Lesley

Delilah is slightly more reserved than Lesley. She is quite self contained and enjoys her own company, but as soon as she hears the other cats getting cuddles, she will appear and want to join in. She’s affectionate once she's decided you can be her friend, and she loves the other cats in the house. She enjoys going outside, and just like Lesley, she is adventurous and curious.

Delilah must be homed with her sister Lesley. Her foster family is a single person household with three resident cats, so she is looking for a similar household with one or two adults, and maybe a resident cat wanting some new friends.

Delilah (F) HC4739

Age: 9 months

Meet the delightful Delilah (also called Lexi and Muffin by her fosterer) came into our care in a bit of a sorry state. She was found in a shed age around 5 weeks, abandoned and hungry. She has come  a long way since then, now being a picture of health and mischief.

This beautiful calico girl likes to play and hide little things everywhere. She would sit close to her human and would play with your hair and hands.

Delilah could get on with another balanced friendy cat as she likes cat company. She got on very well with another foster cat we had.

As she was without her mum or siblings she hasn't learned all her kitten manners yet. She can nip and jump on her fosterer without warning.  She also "spits" sometimes, basically she is the kitten equivalent of a slightly naughty toddler but totally adorable at the same time.

She is probably best suited to someone  who has had cats before as she still needs a little  patience and guidance. She would learn to trust quickly and be lovely companion.

Update from foster mum

She has come a long way since the last update. She learned all the kitten manners which a cat should have and she is a delight. Sometimes she can nip, but it's not malicious and does not do any harm. Just pretty much the same as any other cat would do.

As she needs the company of another kitten of a similar age we have introduced her to Elfie to see if they bond and can be homed togther.

Delilah is neutered,  fully vaccinated and been micro chipped.

Please check our catchment areas before applying to adopt

Darcy (M) HC4795

Age: 16 months

Darcy is a handsome, active young lad with quite a strong character.  Now he is allowed outside at his foster home he is relishing the freedom and loves to play and be outside amusing himself during the day, where he chases flies and plays with the water feature.   He is curious about everything - as easily amused as he is amusing.  He loves home comforts and is friendly to visitors to the house.  He is quite particular with his food!  What he is not is a companion cat happy to sit by the fire, and nor is he a lapcat.

Darcy has Maine Coon in him which probably explains his size, his interest in water and his fluffy fur which is going to need regular grooming.

Darcy deserves an attentive home with space inside it (he won't be happy in a flat) with a good size garden.  The Maine Coon in him makes him adventurous outside and he loves to climb trees and explore neighbouring gardens.   We think he would make a good family pet.

  • OK with older children

  • Darcy has been neutered, microchipped and is fully vaccinated

Theodore (M) HC4797

Age: 7 months
Theodore is related to Simon

Little Theodore is a beautiful, sleek and shiny mini panther! With his piercing green eyes and his tiny little white patch on his chest, he is such a handsome boy. He is also a big softy with his brother Simon - they spend ages grooming each other and Theodore likes to rub up against Simon and give him head bumps.

Theodore has not yet warmed up to us humans that much yet. He is making progress all the time, but it is much, much slower than his siblings. However, when he has just woken up from a nap and is relaxed and snoozy and his brother is around, he can be tricked in the odd little neck or bum scratch! He now eats out of our hands as well and plays with us - all good signs that he is starting to trust people.

But because he is so shy, it means he requires a family who will accept him for who he is. A family who understand that he had a really rough start to life and deserves to be loved unconditionally, no matter what he decides to become - cuddly lap cat or independent cool cat!

Even without physical contact, we have fallen in love with our little Theodorus the Theosaurus. He is such a petit fellow with such a huge personality. He makes us laugh with his inquisitive adventures, climbing things and falling off things, chasing leaves and flies, and carrying around all his toys - we find toys in the strangest places all the time!

As he is still progressing everyday, we do believe there is a real chance he will become confident around people - but we need him to go to a family who will give him the time and space he needs.

Theodore needs to be adopted together with his brother Simon.

Visit his foster home's Facebook page for more photo's and videos.

  • Theodore has been neutered, microchipped and has started vaccinations

Simon (M) HC4799

Age: 7 months
Simon is related to Theodore

Simon is such a handsome, gentle fellow. With his special flecked, tabby-ish coat and his serious face, he is a really striking boy.

Simon is active and playful - he loves to play with toys on wands, chasing and jumping. He's not yet that happy about humans walking around, but as soon as a human is sitting down or lying in bed: Simon is there. He is a real purr machine and access to the bed is an absolute must for him. He loves giving head bumps and likes his eyes and sides of his face rubbed a lot. He will happily fall asleep on you in bed, or nap in between your legs. You'll get a scowl when you get up, but if you come back he will settle back down with you!

Simon is a homely boy. He and his brother are going outside a bit now, but Simon likes to come in when he's had enough for a cuddle and a head bump, and a nap in one of his favourite nap spots. He very much looks to his brother Theodore for exploring and the more exciting things in life; Simon himself is more of a 'find a warm spot in a sun beam' kind of guy.

Simon has us all wrapped around his little paw, and he knows it! He makes us melt on a daily basis, and he is going to make someone so very happy! He may be an teenager and thinks he is all grown up, really he is still very much a baby who gets spooked and scared at times and comes running inside for safety and reassurance, demanding neck scratches and fussing!

Although he is developing into a confident cuddle monster, he still gets very shy as well. So he will need lots of patience and requires a calm household with lots of cuddles and love once he is ready.

Simon needs to be adopted together with his brother Theodore.

Visit his foster home's Facebook page for more photo's and videos.

Tippy (F) HC4810

Age: 9 months

Tippy is a beauty of a cat with a distinctive white tip on the end of her tail. She was quite shy when she arrived but is coming out of her shell more each day. She now follows me around from a distance and is always ready to play (she playing with the pen as I write this) her favourite toys are her mouse and balls.

Tippy enjoys sitting on my lap for a stroke, whilst padding and purring away.

She is a great eater and enjoys searching for treats I hide around the room.

Tippy has a safe spot behind the sofa that she retreats to if she gets spooked by sudden movements or noises but she soon comes back out again once she’s ready.

Sometimes she has nipped but more in a playful way not to hurt. She hasn’t yet allowed me to pick her up.

Tippy's ready for her forever home with a garden so she can go exploring. She will need a home that will allow her time to progress at her own pace, she’s going to make a wonderful addition to the new owner homes.

  • OK with older children
  • Garden required
  • Tippy has been neutered, microchipped and is fully vaccinated

Elfie (M) HC4812

Age: 8 months

"Elfie is a  beautiful black kitten who has settled down in his foster home and come on in leaps and bounds (literally!) since he first arrived as a frightened ball of fluff.

Initially very shy he now purrs and chirrups all the time, and has come to accept laps as comfy places if his human insists on it! He is still shy with strangers visiting and will disappear (as does resident cat!) but soon comes out again to play again when they've gone.

He would love to have another companion to play with during the day  as he loves the company of humans or animals that he knows.   He has been moved in with Delilah and if they bond will be homed as a pair.

Elfie is microchipped and fully vaccinated.

Leo (M) HC4847

Age: 11 weeks
Leo is related to Garfield

4 little ginger kittens were born to a feral mum who had kindly been handed in to HAWS when she was heavily pregnant.  Treacle was not only a brilliant mum to her own kittens but then without hesitation nearly 3 weeks later took over the care of a little tiddler whose own mother had rejected him.

The kittens are all doing brilliantly. Two have already been chosen for their forever homes and the three left are Leo, Garfield and Pumpkin (aka tiddler!)`They are well socialised, not frightened by people and used to being carefully handled by a 4 year old without complaint.

Leo lives up to his name as he thinks he is a lion and takes on challenges such as can he possibly leap from the very top of the highest chair to the work surfaces - only to discover his plot has been foiled as the chair has been moved further away - again !!

Leo can be homed with one of his siblings or as a single kitten providing somebody is at home while he is young.

  • OK with older children
  • Garden required
  • Leo has been microchipped and has started vaccinations

Garfield (M) HC4848

Age: 11 weeks

Garfield is a curious cat who enjoys trying to help with typing by leaping on the keyboard while purring away, to avoid making anyone cross when he manages to delete everything - again !!

Garfield has started his vaccinations and been micro-chipped.

He could be homed with a sibling or on his own providing somebody is at home while he is young.

Mimi (F) HC4851

Age: 16 months

Pretty little Mimi has been a lovely mum to her kittens Arwen and Chonk and now they are older she is starting to play with them like a kitten herself as she is still very young.

She will need someone with patience so that she can become the cat she longs to be. Mimi appears never to have been stroked and does not understand why people want to touch her. She sits near us and likes company and in time will be a lovely pet. She deserves a chance at her own home.

She is playful and sweet, not aggressive in any way and we feel sad that it appears she has never known love and affection.  Her personality is starting to show now she's playing more rather than just being a protective mum.

If anyone is looking to adopt a whole family, Mimi Arwen and Chonk would be perfect

Mimi will have started her vaccinations been spayed and micro-chipped before homing.

Please check our Adoption Requirements before applying to adopt her.

Maya (F) HC4857

Age: 15 months

Maya was handed into one of our vets as a stray, she has only been in her foster home for a short while and this is what they say about her.

Maya is a sweet and delicate girl. Give her a little attention and she immediately starts purring and rubbing her head against you. She’s very curious and often follows me while I move around the house, which is adorable. Maya is calm and gentle when meeting new people, she always comes and says hello. Maya’s favourite things are long naps on cozy blankets, and chicken treats!

She enjoys sitting close-by but she’s not a big fan of being picked up or sitting on your lap yet. She can give gentle bite warnings when she’s had enough strokes and needs space. Maya is also very aware of her surroundings and can sometimes be sensitive to certain sounds. She can go hide for a while if there’s been a loud sound from eg. front door, neighbours, traffic outside, or if she thinks there’s just too much general activity around the house

Maya is very intelligent, and although she doesn’t see too interested in regular cat toys, she does love treats, so we’ve been training basic commands like ‘here’ and ‘sit’. She’s a keen student and already making great progress.

She has started her vaccinations, been spayed and micro-chipped.

Maya would suit either an adult only home or where the children are old enough to give her space when she needs it.

  • OK with older children
  • Garden required
  • Maya has been neutered, microchipped and is fully vaccinated

Astra (M) HC4859

Age: 7 months

Astra was part of a colony of cats being fed by residents so he became quite used to humans although still wary.  He was placed in a foster home and this is what they say about him

“When we first got Astra, he hid behind the sofa for a whole day, and we thought he would be really hard to rehome as he was super shy. Imagine our surprise when after the day passed, he came out as one of the friendliest fosters we had! Astra would be perfect for a family with older children who can make sure he gets all the cuddles he wants.

Astra loves to follow around his humans and curl up as close as possible to them, especially when they have time to give him a belly rub!. He’s very self sufficient when we are out, and spends his time watching the birds at the bird feeder or playing with his toys for hours, taking them into his bed when it’s time for a snooze…

Astra has been neutered, started his vaccinations and been micro-chipped.

Pumpkin (M) HC4863

Age: 9 weeks

Little Pumpkin is a very llucky little boy.  He was born to a mother who was far too young and she rejected him.  We had Treacle in our care  whose 4 kittens were 3 weeks old and she took him on.

The kittens are all doing brilliantly. Two have already been chosen for their forever homes and the three left are Leo, Garfield and Pumpkin (aka tiddler!)`They are well socialised, not frightened by people and used to being carefully handled by a gentle 4 year old without complaint.

Pumpkin also known as "The Tiddler"  is still almost half the size of his biggest adopted brothers but he joins in with all the games and fearlessly pounces on the others with abandon, but also loves cuddles because as the littlest he deserves them more he reckons..

He will have started his vaccinations and been micro-chipped in the next couple of weeks.

Pumpkin can be adopted with one of his bigger brothers or on his own providing somebody is at home while he is young.

  • OK with older children

Lemon (F) HC4864

Age: 11 months
Lemon is related to Klaus Violet

Lemon is pure black with a little white tuft on her chest and has stunning  amber eyes.  She gave birth to her 3 kittens in a shed but she must have had a home as she is so friendly. We can only surmise she was abandonded becuase she was pregnant.

She has been an incredible mother to her kittens, but we think she would like a home on her own as she's still so young and deserves to be a kitten herself. She's incredibly affectionate, and prefers you to sit as close to her as possible - she's not quite a lap cat, but definitely has the potential to be! She loves extended petting sessions (they'd never end if she had the choice) and loves to nap on our desk while we work. She's very vocal and very gentle.

Lemon will have been neutered, started her vaccinations and been micro-chipped before adoption.

Please check our Areas of Coverage and Adoption Requirements before applying to adopt.

Klaus (M) HC4866

Age: 9 weeks
Klaus is related to Lemon Violet

Klaus and Violet are an incredibly affectionate duo - they always want to be around us, and much prefer a lap to a bed! They're super curious, and their mum Lemon has been brilliant. They love humans, tiny mouse toys and sprinting up and down the hall. All very well socialised and used to handling (actually ask for it most of the time), and are litter trained.

Klaus is the most dog-like kitten we've ever met - he comes bounding up to us when we come home from the shop, and loves to follow us around the flat. He has an incredibly loud purr and likes to be held like a baby, as well as sleep at the foot of our bed. He's always playing with toys, and would love a garden to run around in when he's a little older.

He could be homed with his sibling or on his own providing somebody is at home while he is young.

Klaus will have started his vaccinations and been micro-chipped before homing

Violet is a beautiful tabby who is the most well behaved of her siblings - she will quite happily sit next to you for hours whilst you work, or curled up in your lap when you're watching television. She loves to carry her toys around in her mouth, and will bring them to you as surprises throughout the day.

She could be homed with her brother Klaus or on her own providing somebody is at home while she is young.

Otis (M) HC4883

Age: 11 weeks
Otis is related to Oswald

Otis, Orson and Oswald are three delightful little brothers. They are all confident, playful, curious and affectionate.  They are bright and quick to explore their environment to its limits which makes them fearlessly eager to escape and expand it.  They need a constant supply of new toys.

Otis is all black and the fluffiest at the moment.  He appeared to be a little less confident than the others at first, but he's caught up fast and was first up the new climbing post.  He purrs loudly and immediately on being stroked and cuddled, but is strongly vocal when he sees his brothers in a game he wants to be part of.  Then he's back scaling your legs again.

Otis will be microchipped and have started his vaccinations before he goes to his new home.  We think he will do well in a family home with sensible children.

Cassie (F) HC4887

Age: 10 months
Cassie is related to Sapphire Charlie Rocket Misty Tigger

Cassie is a friendly young mum who was left in an Amazon delivery box outside a vet practice a few weeks ago.  She was with another cat Sapphire and between them they have 9 kittens.

The two mothers take care of each other's kittens so it's difficult to work exactly which kitten belongs to which mother but it really doesn't matter as they all play, feed and sleep together. The two mums groom whichever kitten they think needs a wash !!

Cassie will be ready for her new home once she is spayed, vaccinated and micro-chipped.  She could be homed with one of the kittens.

Casper (M) HC4942

Age: 12 weeks
Casper is related to Jasper

This is Casper and Jasper, two adorable brothers from the same litter. They are looking for a forever home together and will bring a lot of joy to your family.

They are loving and friendly, they enjoy playing together , especially when there are allot of toys involved.

Although the same age as his brother Casper looks bigger, mainly because of all his fluff, he looks like a mountain lion and definitely looks after his smaller brother. I haven't fostered such a fluffy kittie before and all I want to do is cuddle him! he's far to interested in playing though.

I suspect he is more independent than Jasper but it's hard to tell at the moment as I haven't had them very long. Casper is very playful and loves his toys and playing with his brother.

They are to be homed together.

Casper has started his vaccinations and been micro-chipped.

Jasper is a sweet confident little fellow who is already rolling over for tummy tickles. He is a perky little fellow, although he seems a little less robust in his personality than Caper. He loves playing with his brother and the toys I have provided.

Both these kittens are confident and ready to get settled into their new home.

They are to be adopted together.
