  • All receive flea/worm treatments before going to their new home.

Cleo (F) HC4519

Age: 3 years

Cleo is a sweet, calm and quiet tabby cat. No fuss, no voice, no smelly poops, no bonkers running around in the morning.

Like every cat she might come across shy in the beginning, but her curiosity is stronger than her fear of the unknown!

After she ventured into the garden, she fell in love with it. She spent all summer sunbathing on a lounger, chasing bugs, watching birds, watching the neighbours, but she never jumped the fence. She would squeak at you if you are not moving fast enough to open the door.

Her favourite toy is a shoe lace. She carries it around the house, we often find it in front of our bedroom or by the front door when we come home. That’s why we think that she tries to please us.

She follows us around the house like a puppy demanding attention by dropping on her back for belly rubs.

She is uncomfortable around young children, so we would be looking for a home with older children or a quiet adult only home.

She is fully vaccinated, spayed and microchipped.

  • OK with older children
  • Garden required
  • Cleo has been neutered, microchipped and is fully vaccinated

Purrdy (M) HC4933

Age: 3 years

Purrdy was a stray being fed by a group of neighbours but as they all had their own pets couldn't keep him.  He has been in a foster home for a while now and this is what they say.

Purdy is a young and very pretty boy, mainly white with greyish tabby markings.  Aged about two years, he is active, playful, and talkative and will tell you when he wants to eat, go out and have a nice brushing and will happily roll over so that you can do his tummy and both sides. Second photo shows how relaxed he is waiting for his grooming session.

He has a tendency to nip, sometimes quite hard if something scares him, possibly due to his history as a stray and possible mistreatment in the past. For this reason we don't think he should be homed with children.    He is a sweet boy who will make a lovely companion to somebody cat experienced.   He must have access to a safe and secure garden.

  • Adult only home required
  • Garden required
  • Purrdy has been neutered, microchipped and is fully vaccinated

Snowdrop (F) HC5065

Age: 2 years
Urgent rehoming required

Meet Snowdrop. She was abandoned with her 3 kittens outside one of our vets amongst a pile of rubbish bags. They were in a broken carrier tied up in several polythene bags with no ventilation. We can't bear to think what might have happened if one of the vet nurses had not stayed late after the surgery had closed and found them.

Despite what happened to her she is a sweet and friendly little cat who deserves a good home after being treated so appallingly.

At first she was very shy and scared of loud noises. It took her 2 to 3 weeks to settle into her foster home and stop hiding, but now she likes jumping on to the sofa and sitting with her foster Dad while purring loudly.  He tells us that "she loves playing with the laser pen toy and running around, eats well (both dry and wet food), she looks for us in the morning and in the evening to give her food".

We think Snowdrop would do best as an only cat and she seems to settle better with men than women.

  • OK with older children
  • Garden required
  • Snowdrop has been neutered, microchipped and is fully vaccinated

Spyder (M) HC5112

Age: 2 years

Spyder turned up in his fosterers garden, very scared and extremely hungry.  Vets confirmed he's not chipped and estimated his age at around 8/9 months.  He's quite a small cat for a boy.

Within 24 hours of being taken in he turned into an affectionate and playful little boy.  He used his litter box straight away and made friends with the other foster cat who was adopted about a week after Spyder arrived, so should be fine with another feline friendly young cat.  He has bundles of energy so if he does go with another cat it should be one who enjoys a good wrestling match. He would be too much for an older cat.

He is a wanderer and loves to  be outside  so it would need to be somewhere very safe from traffic,  he currently lives in a very quiet cul-de-sac.

  • OK with older children
  • Garden required
  • Spyder has been neutered, microchipped and is fully vaccinated

Mrs Sophia Miracle (F) HC5123

Age: 2 years
Mrs Sophia Miracle is related to Himala

Mira turned out to be the most complex case relating to spaying we have ever had! She miraculously had 4 kittens after an incomplete spay, flummoxed multiple vets but now has finally been completely spayed and has reacted to the change in hormones by becoming even more affectionate, playful, funny and loving than she was even when she came into our care.

This beautiful girl needs to be adopted with her daughter Mala, as Mala needs another cat to make her feel more secure.

Mira bounces from charging around like a lunatic to lying as close to your face as possible and making biscuits whilst purring her head off!!

Michael (M) HC5167

Age: 5 years

Say hello to Michael - such a lovely boy who came into our care in a bit of a state.  He'd had a number of owners, and was relinquished to our vet.  Poor Michael was found to have problems with bladder stones; a very painful condition, and he needed an operation to unblock his tubes!  It's taken a while, but Michael is now stable and doing really well.  We think Michael is about 4 years old, but we can't be sure.

He's such an affectionate boy. The minute he sees you, all he wants is to love you and be fussed in return.  He's a great big cuddlebug and he will make a very loving companion. However, he can sometimes bat with his paw (no claws) so would be best in a home with no, or older, children.

Michael will need to stay on a special urinary food diet to prevent formation of bladder stones in the future.

  • OK with older children
  • Garden required
  • Michael has been neutered, microchipped and is fully vaccinated

Himala (F) HC5171

Age: 13 months
Himala is related to Mrs Sophia Miracle

Mala is an utterly beautiful young girl who has boundless energy especially when reflected light is involved, asks vocally for toys to be turned on, loves nothing better than chasing her Mum and being chased by her Mum, sitting in front of your computer monitor, climbing bookcases like stepladders and getting closer than her mum to her human's face for cuddles and head rubs.

Mala has a loud purr and a penchant for getting under bedding and fleeces. She is reactive to sudden noises and doesn't like people standing up so needs to be in a calmer home and to be adopted with her mother Mira to whom she looks for guidance.

Mala is fully vaccinated, chipped and neutered.

Lena (F) HC5186

Age: 18 months
Lena is related to Poppy
Must be homed with Poppy

Lena is a lovely, playful calico lady. She has been with her foster family for a few months now, together with her sister Poppy. Although they were quite shy at the beginning, they are now starting to settle and show their personalities.

Lena is very curious, and loves to explore her surroundings. Once settled in her new home, she will happily follow you around to check out what you're doing. She enjoys chasing a ball (or her sister!) up and down the stairs, looking out of windows, and chilling in her favourite igloo bed or on the cat tree.

While in the first few weeks she was a little unsure around humans, we see her become more confident every day: when she's relaxed, she does accept scritches and cuddles, and she's also getting used to napping on the sofa while people are sitting on it. She still likes to keep a safe distance, and to know she can retreat to her favourite hiding spots, but food treats and play time help a lot with getting her attention and gaining her trust.

Both Lena and Poppy are fairly independent, and can easily handle being home on their own if people are not around for part of the day. They will be at their best with adopters who are happy to give them as much time and patience as they need to feel at home. They will need a space with few loud noises or sudden movements that could startle them, and a few hiding spots to retreat to when they need rest or safety (they will love igloo cat beds or a cat tree!).

LENA MUST BE HOMED WITH HER TABBY SISTER POPPY

  • Adult only home required
  • Garden required
  • Quiet home required
  • Lena has been neutered, microchipped and is fully vaccinated

Poppy (F) HC5209

Age: 18 months
Poppy is related to Lena
Must be homed with Lena

Poppy is a stunning tabby with the sweetest round face and yellow eyes. She has been with her foster family for a few months now, together with her sister Lena. Although they were quite shy at the beginning, they are now starting to settle and show their personalities.

Poppy is curious and easy-going, though she is the more timid of the two sisters. She usually follows Lena's lead when playing together and exploring the house. Over time, she has become comfortable in her foster home and confident moving around the space: she enjoys following people around the house to check out what they're doing, play fighting with Lena, looking outside windows, and napping in her favourite safe spots.

She is still unsure about receiving affection: although it's clear she's an inquisitive and friendly cat, she would still rather not be touched. She will likely keep at a safe distance from anyone she doesn't know. Food treats and play time help with getting her attention and gaining her trust. As she gains confidence, she is also becoming chattier and showing her silly side: it's very funny to watch her run after toys, or ask for food when she sees someone is filling the bowls!

Both Poppy and Lena are fairly independent, and can easily handle being home on their own if people are not around for part of the day. They will be at their best with adopters who are happy to give them as much time and patience as they need to feel at home. They will need a space with few loud noises or sudden movements that could startle them, and a few hiding spots to retreat to when they need rest or safety (they will love igloo cat beds or a cat tree!).

Elodie (F) HC5219

Age: 2 years
Elodie is related to Melody
Must be homed with Melody

Elodie and her sister Melody are lovely cats who were found in a disused carpark and a kind man who was feeding stray cats there alerted us to Melody who had very young kittens hidden in bushes. We managed to get Melody, her kittens and her sister Elodie. We think that both cats had probably been dumped there at some stage as they were not feral, although very shy, but they came up to the man who fed them.

In our time with Elodie, we’ve seen her confidence grow. Although she’s the shyer and quieter of the sisters, Elodie is curious and likes to explore her surroundings. She didn’t take long before she was happy to spend the day in the same room as us.

At this point, Elodie isn’t yet ready for us to stoke her fully, but she is happy to come and sniff your hand and is showing initial signs of progress after allowing a few small, gentle strokes of her paw or back when very relaxed. We’re hopeful in time she’ll progress further. She does, however, have a lovely way of showing you she knows you care… she slowly closes her eyes when you talk to her, showing a look of contentment.

Elodie, does however show a slightly bolder side when it comes to her favourite thing, eating! If you’re too slow delivering her food, she won’t hesitate to use her voice to get her message across.

Elodie’s favourite pastime is watching TV. When she does, she really gives it her full attention and always goes for a front row view! She loves watching cat TV, any other animal programs, as well as sports, the news and in fact any other shows she feels will broaden her education.

Elodie does like to play when she gets a chance, as her sister often jumps in first. She’s a bit calmer than Melody, and if it’s a fluffy toy, she’ll gently wash it when caught rather than bite it.

In our experience we’d say that Elodie is the sensible one. She’s always looking out for her sister and, if Melody isn’t nearby, she’ll call for her and not settle until she finds her. Which is really sweet. These sisters definitely have a lovely bond together!

Elodie needs an adult only home where she can be given the time to develop her confidence and trust in her owners at her own pace.

Melody (F) HC5220

Age: 2 years

Must be homed with Elodie

Melody is a very chatty girl. She talks to you throughout the day, some of the time to make sure her fosterers know what she wants. This chattiness goes beyond just asking for food or to play, she also likes to keep you updated on what she is doing throughout the day.

She is more confident with humans than her sister is at this time. She enjoys having a stroke and most days will come to you to ask for one. If you’re lucky, she may even let you stroke her lovely soft belly.

Melody loves to show off her athletic abilities. She would certainly be a great contestant in a cat high jump competition. She often reaches table height or higher when trying to catch her favourite wand toy.

Both she and her sister Elodie also enjoy watching TV. Sometimes her curiosity takes her behind it to see if she can find what she has seen on the screen. Melody is the more adventurous one of the sisters and was the first to explore her new surrounding at their foster home, with Elodie following after.

Melody has a really strong bond with her sister. You can see a look of happiness on her face they regularly wash each other, which is really sweet to see and, despite having a bed each, Melody always chooses to squeeze into the same bed as her sister each night.

Melody needs an adult only home and she must rehomed with her sister.

Pixie (F) HC5261

Age: 14 months
Pixie is related to Pippin
Must be homed with Pippin

Pixie and Pippin were born outside to a stray cat, and because they lived outside without human contact for the first few weeks of their lives they were really timid at first.

They have settled in well, still a bit nervous but enjoy racing round the house.  Pippin has progressed to sitting on my lap, Pxie will sit near me and I have been able to give her some strokes on her terms so things are improving nicely.  They both adore my other pair of fosters so would do well with another feline friendly cat.

Because they are more shy than many of our kittens we think they would thrive better if they were to stay together and in a home without young children

Den (M) HC5309

Age: 10 months

Den is shy with new people but incredibly affectionate and cuddly once he gets to know you.  He's super friendly and will come running to see you when you come home and loves to hang out wherever you are in the house.  He seems to be fine with other cats and is great with children of all ages!

Bobbi Bear (M) HC5343

Age: 4 years

Bobbi Bear is the sweetest, friendliest, chubby cheeked tabby there is. Despite his stocky seal like stature and large paws, Bobbi is a cuddly baby bear at heart (with squeaks for meows to match)

Bobbi has lots of love to give and a desire for belly rubs. He was a little timid at first whilst settling with his fosterers but now he is right at home and loving the company of humans.

Bobbi Bear loves to cuddle up and sleep at the end of his fosterers bed. He loves his food and will try his very best to convince you for a second breakfast with his cheeky face.

Bobbi has an excellent character and any family would be lucky to have this sweet boy in their lives.

Bobbi Bear is FiV positive and as healthy as can be. There’s no reason why he can’t live a long and normal healthy life with the right people looking out for him. Read more about FiV here https://www.catchat.org/index.php/fiv

Willow (F) HC5366

Age: 2 years

Willow came to us from people who were unable to care for her any longer.

She is a sweet gentle soul who’s coming out of her shell day by day.  As you can see from the photo she isn't interested in a posh bed and loves her cardboard "hut" .  The vet nurses who were caring for her after being spayed love her.   One of them has taken her 5 year old child to meet Willow who was very happy, so we think she will be fine with children and she is also good with other cats.

  • OK with older children

  • Willow has been neutered, microchipped and is fully vaccinated

Rambo (M) HC5377

Age: 3 years

Rambo found his way to a family who already had two cats.  He was outside over the winter but they kept him warm and wanted to take him on as their own, but after taking him to a vet they found out that he was FIV positive. This meant they they unfortunately couldn’t keep him with their other cats and had to try to rehome him. Rambo hasn't an aggressive bone in his body, he has shown nothing but love towards us and other FIV cats.

He is a gentle giant. A very friendly cat who loves nothing more than to be around people. He is just a lovable boy who is always so happy to see you. It would be wonderful to see him finally have the permanent home that he is so desperate for.  He loves his dreamies and catnip toys as well as a soft blanket to curl up on.

He does have the potential to go with another friendly FIV cat.

  • Garden not essential
  • Rambo has been neutered, microchipped and is fully vaccinated

Nellie (F) HC5393

Age: 7 months

Nellie is a VERY sweet girl, she loves being around you for pets. She lifts herself up like a meerkat to head nudge you.

She has a small defect in her eye which is more than likley come from her having caught cat fllu when she was younger.  This shouldn't cause any long term issues with her health.

It shouldn’t affect her vision that much but as a precaution ideally a home with a bit more of  a garden just in case she has a small amount of ‘ vision loss’ although she doesn't appear to have as far as we can telll.

The eye defect has more than likely come from her having caught cat flu when she was younger.  It shouldn’t case any longterm issues with her health but her eye won’t change.

Nellie has been neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped

The second photo shows the small defect in her eye.

Juliet (F) HC5395

Age: 3 years
Juliet is related to Valentina Romeo

Juliet is is a very sweet girl who love’s attention. She wanders around the vet surgery a lot and explores, always finding new spots. She is very talkative, when she sees you she immediately starts to meow.

She will make someone extremely happy as she honestly brightens up our days whenever we are with her. She follows you around, even when she’s exploring she likes to know where you are. She is independent and will go off on her own but she always comes back to you.

She is very interested in having a companion cat i think, she’s very keen to look around and talk to the other cats. She’s very fond of Faris ( a tabby and white boy we have in). They do explore together, they are two that I do let out into the surgery because of how much they talk together.

It would be lovely if Juliet and Faris could find a home together.

Valentina (F) HC5396

Age: 17 weeks
Valentina is related to Juliet Romeo

Valentina is one of a litter of kittens whom we rescued, who were being raised on the streets by a stray mother cat who had been left behind by her owners.  Valentina is living in a foster home with her brothers  Romeo ( named because they were born around Valentine's Day!)

Valentina is a beautiful long haired tortie, the only girl in the litter - who is well able to hold her own in the many games she plays with her brother.   Initially very shy, her loud purr is lovely to hear and she is finally realising that cuddles are actually good and laps are warm!

We would like little Valentina to go to her forever home with one of her brother Romeo.

Romeo (M) HC5400

Age: 17 weeks

Romeo is one of a litter of kittens whom we rescued, who were being raised on the streets by a stray mother cat who had been left behind by her owners.  He is living in a foster home with  his sister Valentina (all named because they were born around Valentine's Day!)

Romeo is the boldest , a black and white boy with a gorgeous little white tip to his tail.  He was the first to purr happily when stroked and makes up for any earlier shyness by rushing to meet his foster carer in the morning and very vocally telling her it's time for breakfast!  He also tells her when it is time for a lap cuddle which he loves or just that it's his time for some attention!

Leo (M) HC5405

Age: 7 months

Leo was picked up a a stray.  He is very timid, not aggressive at all but he just flinches and freezes whenever you go near him.  He doesn’t understand yet that humans won’t hurt him and having to treat him for a sore eye hasn't helped.

He is very much a work in progress and it would probably be good for him to go with a friendly young cat who could teach him that humans are a good thing.  He is a beautiful boy who deserves a home.

Latest Update from His Foster Home

Meet Leo, the adorable kitten we are currently fostering! Initially very shy and timid, Leo has gradually become more comfortable and sociable, especially with a little patience and understanding. He’s a curious and playful boy, who loves chasing the laser pointer and capturing his favourite toy shoelace. When he’s hungry, Leo becomes quite chatty, and talks to us with his adorable, tiny meows!

Leo would thrive in a calm, quiet environment, where he can feel safe and secure. A home without young children would suit him best. He appreciates having a cosy space he can retreat to, where he can recharge and relax.

He will be neutered, vaccinated and chipped before being homed.

William (M) HC5415

Age: 15 weeks
William is related to Pastel

Tiny William is the little one of this litter. He is also the shy guy, really not very sure of his foster humans at all at the moment. Although having said that, when he sees his siblings playing with us, he does come and join in. He will need patience, understanding and love, and then we are sure that eventually this little man will become a right snuggle monster!

He has already come a long way in the few weeks he has been at his foster home and can now be petted and fussed, and will start purring when you catch him in the right mood!

William will need more work socialising and getting confident and comfortable with humans. For this reason, we would strongly recommend a family with older children (teens at the youngest) or adult only homes.

William would really like to be adopted with one of his siblings, so we will give priority to families looking to adopt more than one kitten.

We will update his little bio more once we get to know him better, but for now you can enjoy more photos of William and his siblings in their foster home's Facebook photo album.

Pastel (F) HC5416

Age: 15 weeks
Pastel is related to William

Poor little Pastel had a bit of a nightmare when she arrived at her foster home: one of her siblings had done a rather runny poop on her and she needed a bath straight away! Not a great start for a kitten who already doesn't really trust humans that much. But we have to say: she has really rallied. She still is guite shy with us, but she is coming up to us to play, sniffs our hands, and is no longer scared to eat when we sit with her. This is amazing progress in only a few short weeks.

Over the last few days we have been able to pet her when she is in a snoozy mood, and she is now purring with us and we can pet her while she is playing. Amazing progress, good job, Pastel!

With lots of patience and love, we know Pastel will grow in confidence and trust and will be the perfect addition to her new forever family. We would strongly recommend a family with older children (teens at the youngest) or adult only homes.

Pastel would really like to be adopted with one of her siblings, so we will give priority to families looking to adopt more than one kitten.

Bluebell (F) HC5418

Age: 14 months

Pretty Bluebell is  about a year old, and has grown up with her 2 siblinggs Bumblebee and BooBoo whp have been adopted.

She is very friendly, and loves to be fussed,  good with children and and is used to living with captive birds.  Apparently  all three loved watching TV, especially Peppa Pig!

Bluebell and her siblings came from a loving home and due to circumstances, were very reluctancly relinquished to us by the owner.   As she has lived with cats before she would be a good companion for somebody wanting a friend for an existing feline friendly cat.

Although being an indoor cat to date, she would  appreciate a safe garden in which to play and enjoy fresh air and sunshine.

Bluebell is  neutered and microchipped, and will be up-to-date with  vaccinations and flea and worm treatments before adoption.

Peter (M) HC5422

Age: 6 months
Peter is related to Michael

Peter and Michael  came into our care after a kind member of public took them in as strays.  She noticed there was something wrong with the ears and wondered if it was a genetic malformation and was horrified to find out their ears had been cut.  The loss of the tops of their ears does not impact their hearing, it is purely cosmetic.  In our experience black cats are less popular even when perfect so these little guys start off with two things against them.

They have just moved to a foster home and here is her update.

Peter and Michael  have settled in well, eating, exploring and playing. They are such lovely friendly cats. They follow me around and sit next to me, happily  purring. To see more photos and videos  please click on the link below.

Poppy's kittens (unknown) HC5425

Age: 9 weeks

Poppy's kittens are growing up fast, there are 3 black and 2 black and white, born on 16th April so will soon be ready for adoption.

We will try to get a photo of them all together but you may have heard the expression "it's like herding cats" so it's very difficult to get kittens to stay still long enough to get a group shot.

They will all have started their vaccinations and been micro-chipped before adoption

Handsome Tyler was handed into one our vets as a stray, however it turns out that he was their own cat who they had tried to leave a week ago.  Despite being really full we took him on as were worried what might happen to him otherwise.

He's a lovely friendly boy who deserves a forever home.

He's been neutered vaccinated and micro-chipped

Age: 18 weeks
Huckleberry is related to Finn Gatsby Matilda Atticus

Huckleberry is a trusting, loving cat with loads of character.  He is confident, friendly and affectionate and loves a bit of attention (when he’s not leading the kitten playtime chaos). He is a great stabilising influence for his siblings and is always one of the first to try something new.

Huckleberry has a gorgeous silver tabby colour and is almost an identical twin to Finn – we have trouble telling them apart, although Huckleberry is a little more confident than Finn when it comes to people. He and his siblings are very gentle and good natured, and close to each other. He should be homed with at least one of his siblings.

Huckleberry is microchipped and will be fully vaccinated on 22nd May.

Finn is smart, playful and thoughtful, and behind his gentle bravado he is a teddy bear who just wants to be loved. He and his siblings are very gentle and good natured, and close to each other. He should be homed with at least one of his siblings.

Atticus is such a handsome, sweet boy and a delight to have at home. He is super playful and wants to join in everything his siblings are up to. As you can see one of his favourite pastimes is wrestling his siblings. He’s super smart too – I could swear he knows what I’m thinking before I do as he’s always one step ahead of me!

Initially he is a little nervous of people, but he has come on leaps and bounds in the past couple of weeks. Given a little time to get to know you, and time spent playing with him on the ground, you’ll be best friends in no time. Peppa (F) HC5441

Age: 14 months
Peppa is related to Baron Duke Earl Prince

Peppa is a beautiful petite mum cat who was found heavily pregnant by a lovely family who looked after her and her 4 kittens when they were born.

She has been a great mum selflessly looking after her boys. Now that her kittens are older and ready to be adopted, Peppa needs her own furever home where she will be loved, cared for and live her best life.

She looks very young, much like a kitten herself.  She is very sweet and friendly and likes human company. She often comes up to give us nuzzles and head bumps. She has started to play a lot and joins in with her kittens when they having zoomies and running around playing with their toys. She will be a lovely addition to any family.

Baron (M) HC5442

Age: 11 weeks
Baron is related to Peppa Duke Earl Prince

Peppa’s Boys were born in a very kind family’s home after they found and rescued Peppa who was heavily pregnant.

They are 4 super cute kittens with beautiful black on white coats. Baron and Prince have short hair and Duke and Earl have longer fluffy coats.

They are very friendly, affectionate and love to play. They are always running and jumping around exploring or chasing their toys and each other.

They are very well bonded so need to be adopted in pairs: most likely Duke with Earl, and Baron with Prince. They are still very young so need to be adopted into a home where there will be someone at home with them most of the day to care for them and play with them.

Baron is the first photo, Prince the second.

Maddox (M) HC5452

Age: 13 months

Maddox came into our care with a very nasty bite wound having been attacked by the family dog.  He has recovered well, there may be a scar but that won't bother him.

He is a very confident cat, even after what he’s been through, he showed no fear with one of the vet nurse's small dogs. No hissing or hiding -he actually went up to a Yorkshire terrier and nudged him.

We can’t put into words how sweet he is, he just sits there for cuddles and comes up to you all the time.  He’s still young, only a year old.  He would be a great family cat and fine for sensible small children as he’s just gentle and calm.

We would prefer if he had another cat companion to play with only because he is currently playing with some of the cats who are boarding at the vets and he  seems particularly keen on a little tabby called Nellie, she seems to think of him as an older brother.

He was neutered while his wound was being stitched and will be vaccinated as soon as he has finished his course of antibiotics.
