Whisper (F) HC3212

Age: 6 years

This litte female was part of a stray colony and our intention was to neuter and put her back but after a couple of days at the vets they realised she isn't feral just a little timid but friendly so it wouldn't be right to put her back.

The vet nurses called her Whisper as she's very quiet.  She will probably need a quiet adult only home where she can flourish and ideally to be homed with her friend Belle who is in the same foster home.

  • Adult only home required
  • Garden required
  • Quiet home required
  • Whisper has been neutered, microchipped and is fully vaccinated

Myrtle (F) HC3232

Age: 6 years
Myrtle's story
Well we started in our own commune, we had lots of babies and eventually there were too many of us.  That's when HAWS came along and collected us in small groups.  Myrtle (that's me) and Beauty went first and had our kittens, the kittens have all been adopted as they were all cute.  Beauty was adopted and that left me - I was lonely and miserable, one day Nicola who looked after me and my five kittens moved me and  I met up with five of my cousins or they may possibly be my brothers and sister I really can't remember.  One thing about us is we are all shy and nervous but we do love dinner and treat time, at night we move our beds around the room to confuse Nicola in the morning.  We are all black except Mog who is black and white, the rest of us do have little white hidden markings, mine Is on my  tum.  Let me introduce you there is Little one she is small and cute, we have William he is the biggest, Munro who is the middle one and Midge!  Myself and Little One are the ladies the rest are gents!!  I can't tell you how long it took me to get everybody in one place and to make them sit still for a photo !!!

  • Garden required
  • Myrtle has been neutered, microchipped and has started vaccinations

Belle (F) HC3244

Age: 7 years

  • OK with older children
  • Garden required

Luna (F) HC4467

Age: 4 years

"My name is Luna and I’m a gorgeous 3 year old girl with a luxuriously soft and thick black coat that you want to pet for days.

As I haven’t had the best of luck with my previous humans I do have trust issues and it takes me a bit of time to settle down in a new place and get used to people. I don’t get on well with other pets or children as they scare me. I really just need my vey own loving and patient hooman who’s willing to give me the time, space and care I need to build up my confidence and trust.

I’ve been with my foster momma for 3 months and although I’m still not confident enough to ask for cuddles I do let her pick me up and pet me for a while cause I know she likes it so much. I kinda like it too but don’t tell her that or she’ll be doing it all the time! I’m a cat after all and have a reputation to maintain!! I’m very independent and adventurous so a kitty door and safe access to outside is essential "

Luna is neutered and up to date with her vaccinatons.  She also has a pet passport as she's been to Spain before.

  • OK with older children
  • Garden required
  • Luna has been neutered

Skippy (F) HC4486

Age: 19 months
Must be homed with Hopper

We probably should have called Skippy Juliet and her boyfriend Hopper Romeo. They came into our care separately and Skippy had been living outside longer than Hopper  Hopper was the most confident and because Skippy was very timid we thought that putting them together would help her. This has worked well and Skippy loves to play with Oscar and can match his energy. They love each other and Skippy follows Hopper everywhere.  Skippy still remains a litte wary of humans (unless food is involved) but her confidence has increased dramatically in foster care.

We couldn't bear to part them so Skippy and Hopper must be homed together.  Skippy is the one at the back of the photo.

Skippy and Hoper would suit a home with enough space for them to retreat to for naps and would enjoy a secure garden to explore and play in.

Please don't apply to adopt them if you are outside our catchment area or don't have access to a garden

  • Adult only home required
  • Garden required
  • Skippy has been neutered, microchipped and is fully vaccinated

Lesley (F) HC4511

Age: 15 months
Lesley is related to Delilah

Lesley is a small bundle of energy. She is very affectionate and will enjoy sitting on your lap once she gets to know you. She's got a good appetite and loves playing with her toys. She likes the other cats in the house but she will initially be timid with people she doesn't know.

Lesley must be homed with her sister Delilah. Her foster family is a single person household with three resident cats, so she is looking for a similar household with one or two adults, and maybe a resident cat wanting some new friends.

Lesley is neutered, fully vaccinated and microchipped.

  • Adult only home required
  • Garden required
  • Quiet home required
  • Lesley has been neutered, microchipped and is fully vaccinated
  • Wider coverage area considered

Delilah (F) HC4512

Age: 15 months

Delilah is confident and feisty. She will let you stroke her once she's decided you can be her friend, but only when she feels like it. She likes the other cats in the house and enjoys playing and exploring.

Hopper (M) HC4513

Age: 16 months
Must be homed with Skippy

Hopper is a curious and friendly young cat who loves to play and is looking for a home he can settle down in.   He loves to follow you around the  house calmly, enjoying a good stroke, with an hour or so of energetic playng throughout the day.

We probably should have called Hopper 'Romeo' and his girlfriend Skippy 'Juliet'.  They came into our care separately and Hopper was paired with Skippy who had spent longer living outside and so was more wary.   So to build her confidence we thought that putting them together would help her and this has worked well.   They love each other and Skippy follows Hopper everywhere.

Hopper and Skippy are neutered and fully vaccinated.  Hopper is the one in the front of the photo.

They would suit a home with enough space for them to retreat for naps and would enjoy a secure garden to explore

Please don't apply to adopt them if you are outside our catchment area or don't have access to a garden.

Cookie (M) HC4576

Age: 3 years
Urgent rehoming required

Cookie is a three year old handsome boy with unusual colouring.

He is an independent cat and quite affectionate but doesn't like to be over-petted so best suited to an adult only home .

He recently used up a couple of his nine lives as he was hit by a car.  Fortunately he has made an excellent and complete recovery.  We are now looking for a home for him on a very safe road and with a large garden for him to explore.  For this reason we are happy to take applications from outside our usual catchment area to find him the perfect home.

He wouldn't be happy to live in a home with other pets although he can sometimes make friends with others outside.

Cookie has been neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped and is ready for his new home.

Penny (F) HC4589

Age: 21 months

Penny came into our care with her four kittens a few months ago. Initially she was nervous, and understandably protective over her 2 week old  kittens. But as they grew, so did her confidence.

This is what her foster home says about her.

She will lick food from your fingers, and if you are lucky you can get a little head stroke in at the same time. She will happily trot around, and is particularly fascinated by the smells that come down the (blocked up) chimney.

When our next set of unrelated kittens came in she had a few lovely conversations with them through their pen, so I think she would be fine with another cat who could help her learn confidence with humans. She also happily lays next to my 3 house rabbits.

If someone had the time to befriend her I think she has the makings of a loyal pet. A quiet adult home would be best for her.

Penny has been spayed, vaccinated and miro-chipped.

Merry (F) HC4650

Age: 6 months
Merry is related to Boris

Boris & Merry

This shy young pair are coming along very well together. Boris is a handsome tabby boy with a fluffy coat, a lion-like face and big paws but is gentle and responsive to touch and cuddles, purring loudly. Merry is still very fearful of touch but watches her brother intently while learning that humans are not unsafe to be around and her sweet nature is emerging as well. She has white socks and underside to her petite black body. Although much smaller she has the same sturdy, strong build.

They love playtime and getting all their toys out of the box and spreading them all around and exploring and finding the best spots to sleep – never far apart. They are a picture of relaxation side by side on the windowsill watching the world go by.

As they are shy, fearful of loud noise and sudden movements and will need time to develop confidence enough to fully express themselves they need a home without children and must be homed together.

  • Adult only home required
  • Garden required
  • Merry has been neutered, microchipped and is fully vaccinated

Arthur (M) HC4687

Age: 17 weeks
Arthur is related to Peanut Arnie Mia

I have been fostering Arthur and Peanut for about 2 months now. They are looking for the perfect home for them.

I am so proud of these two kittens with the effort they are making to get over their shyness and it will be very hard to see them go to there new home. If you feel you can provide a calm loving home for these two brave kitties then please see below for full details.

This lovely ginger  boy is older than my other kittens and is the most wary. However there is nothing timid about Arthur!  He rushes around my house with his siblings playing and having fun and seems to keep them all in check like a little sheep dog! He's a chunky little fellow who likes to sit close to me, but still wary of being touched. Saying that when I have been able to stroke him he purrs so loudly that you could probably hear him down the street. I can't say if he will ever be a lap cat, it's still early days,  but I can tell you he has a loving kind energy and is very very sweet. I think you will know if he's the boy for you, and your home, just by looking at him.

ARTHUR MUST BE HOMED WITH PEANUT AS THEY LOVE EACH OTHER.

Peanut (F) HC4688

Age: 17 weeks
Peanut is related to Arthur Arnie Mia

As our charity rescues vulnerable and abandoned kittens, and cats, some of them take longer to socialise than others. We may have a kitten that wants to be independent and not cuddled yet like Arthur but that doesn't mean they are not loving, playful and enjoy your company or the company of others once they get to know you.

These two lovely kittens, Peanut and Arthur are looking for a forever home with people who have experience with cats, and who have the time and desire to continue the socialising I have been doing for the last few weeks. They have come along so far in such a short space of time so with some time and attention they will be perfect.

You can see that Peanut is a beautiful little girl with her Harlequin face and gorgeous colouring . I think she looks like a painting. When she came to me she had a poorly eye and I had to give her medication that she hated, not great when she was scared of me anyway. However despite all this she has come along so far,  when I sit with her now she actually comes to me for strokes.  Arthur rushing around sometimes spooks her which makes me laugh as he is so silly but I do think that with a bit more time she will be a cuddle bunny. Peanut is gentle, sweet and a real little lady.

Arnie (M) HC4689

Age: 17 weeks
Urgent rehoming required
Arnie is related to Arthur Peanut Mia

What can I say about little Arnie, he is the smallest and yet the most confident. He is definitely the extrovert, a tiny little fellow with a big personality. He is totally tame and amazed both the vet and myself at how affectionate he is. He loves being the centre of attention and is very curious, he likes to sit on my shoulder while I'm doing things. He sometimes mistakes me for a tree trunk though! but he will learn. He has a lot of energy and LOVES cuddles.

He rushes around like a mad thing and makes me laugh out loud. Play time and activities will keep him occupied so he, like his sister needs someone who has time for them. He will of course settle as he gets older. He is absolutely adorable and I am tempted myself but he needs a family who will keep he entertained.

ARNIE MUST BE HOMED WITH HIS SISTER MIA

Arnie will have started his vaccinations and been micro-chipped before homing

  • OK with older children
  • Garden required
  • Arnie has been microchipped and is fully vaccinated

Mia (F) HC4690

Age: 17 weeks
Urgent rehoming required
Mia is related to Arthur Peanut Arnie

Little Mia is a very pretty tortoiseshell who had a very difficult start in life.  Her eyes were badly infected and despite best efforts by our vets one of her eyes had to be removed.

This is what her foster mum says about her.

Despite all she has been through Mia has  bounced back really quickly and gets stuck in to all the rough housing and playing with her siblings, and she can give as good as she gets.

She loves cuddles and strokes and is more comfortable with me than her older siblings. She will need a bit of extra attention re her vision while getting used to a new home, and when she starts to go outside, however watching her rush around my home you would never know she was missing an eye.  Shes a  confident little poppet and I am very very proud of her.  I hope there is a family who will see  past her "disability" and appreciate her for the adorable kitten she is.

SHE MUST BE HOMED WITH HER BROTHER ARNIE

Mia has started her vaccinations and been micro-chipped.

  • OK with older children
  • Garden required
  • Mia has been microchipped and is fully vaccinated

Polly (F) HC4695

Age: 21 weeks
Polly is related to Shelby

Polly - or Polly the pocket rocket as we like to call her! She started out shy and takes a minuteto decide if she likes you, but once she does she’ll curl up in her favourite spot, usually under your  neck, and fall fast asleep.

She loves her sister Shelby and her adopted uncle Eddie. She is small but feisty (and very fast) and holds her own with the others.

Her face and ears are incredibly expressive and I’ve no doubt she’ll be a beauty.

Polly must be homed with her sister Shelby

She will be vaccinated and micro-chipped before homing

  • OK with older children
  • Garden required
  • Polly has been microchipped and is fully vaccinated

Shelby (F) HC4696

Age: 21 weeks
Shelby is related to Polly

Shelby is a real live wire . She is very adventurous and lovreaes to climb and is often found at the top of the scratching pole or in the sink - we don’t now hows she gets there either.

She loves to play with her sister Polly and they curl up together every night.

Shelby is definitely an explorer but once she's tuckered out she loves nothing more than a snooze in bed with us.

She is going to be a very pretty tuxedo when she's older, and no doubt very mischievous too!

Shelby must be homed with her sister Polly

She will be vaccinated and micro-chipped before homing

  • OK with older children
  • Garden required
  • Shelby has been microchipped and is fully vaccinated
