Whisper (F) HC3212

Age: 7 years

Whisper and Belle are 2 sisters who were rescued from a feral cat colony in 2016. They are 7 years old. Their confidence has grown over time with their fosterer and they are appreciative of her attention and do love a gentle stroke and fuss rewarding their fosterer with lots of preening and purring!

They are still quite wary of humans and would be looking for a quiet all adult home. Whilst they do not liked to be picked up and will probably never be lap cats they both have lovely calm and placid personalities and do enjoy human company. When their fosterer comes home from work and calls them in for their dinner they come running over the garden fence at a lickety spit! There are other cats in the fosterer’s home and whilst they keep to themselves they are quite happy in the company of the resident cats nor are they bothered by the large resident family dog!

Regrettably the fosterer does not have enough time to really devote more attention on these two lovely girls and believes that they would develop their confidence further if they had more human attention, which they do seem to want and enjoy.

Whisper and Belle must be homed together to a quiet adult only home.

Myrtle (F) HC3232

Age: 7 years
Myrtle's story
Well we started in our own commune, we had lots of babies and eventually there were too many of us.  That's when HAWS came along and collected us in small groups.  Myrtle (that's me) and Beauty went first and had our kittens, the kittens have all been adopted as they were all cute.  Beauty was adopted and that left me - I was lonely and miserable, one day Nicola who looked after me and my five kittens moved me and  I met up with five of my cousins or they may possibly be my brothers and sister I really can't remember.  One thing about us is we are all shy and nervous but we do love dinner and treat time, at night we move our beds around the room to confuse Nicola in the morning.  We are all black except Mog who is black and white, the rest of us do have little white hidden markings, mine Is on my  tum.  Let me introduce you there is Little one she is small and cute, we have William he is the biggest, Munro who is the middle one and Midge!  Myself and Little One are the ladies the rest are gents!!  I can't tell you how long it took me to get everybody in one place and to make them sit still for a photo !!!

Luna (F) HC4467

Age: 4 years

"My name is Luna and I’m a gorgeous 3 year old girl with a luxuriously soft and thick black coat that you want to pet for days.

As I haven’t had the best of luck with my previous humans I do have trust issues and it takes me a bit of time to settle down in a new place and get used to people. I don’t get on well with other pets or children as they scare me. I really just need my vey own loving and patient hooman who’s willing to give me the time, space and care I need to build up my confidence and trust.

I’ve been with my foster momma for 3 months and although I’m still not confident enough to ask for cuddles I do let her pick me up and pet me for a while cause I know she likes it so much. I kinda like it too but don’t tell her that or she’ll be doing it all the time! I’m a cat after all and have a reputation to maintain!! I’m very independent and adventurous so a kitty door and safe access to outside is essential "

Luna is neutered and up to date with her vaccinatons.  She also has a pet passport as she's been to Spain before.

  • OK with older children
  • Garden required
  • Luna has been neutered

Skippy (F) HC4486

Age: 21 months
Must be homed with Hopper

We probably should have called Skippy Juliet and her boyfriend Hopper Romeo. They came into our care separately and Skippy had been living outside longer than Hopper  Hopper was the most confident and because Skippy was very timid we thought that putting them together would help her. This has worked well and Skippy loves to play with Oscar and can match his energy. They love each other and Skippy follows Hopper everywhere.  Skippy still remains a litte wary of humans (unless food is involved) but her confidence has increased dramatically in foster care.

We couldn't bear to part them so Skippy and Hopper must be homed together.  Skippy is the one at the back of the photo.

Skippy and Hoper would suit a home with enough space for them to retreat to for naps and would enjoy a secure garden to explore and play in.

Please don't apply to adopt them if you are outside our catchment area or don't have access to a garden

  • Adult only home required
  • Garden required
  • Skippy has been neutered, microchipped and is fully vaccinated

Lesley (F) HC4511

Age: 16 months
Lesley is related to Delilah

Lesley is a small bundle of energy. She is very affectionate and will enjoy sitting on your lap once she gets to know you. She's got a good appetite and loves playing with her toys. She likes the other cats in the house but she will initially be timid with people she doesn't know.

Lesley must be homed with her sister Delilah. Her foster family is a single person household with three resident cats, so she is looking for a similar household with one or two adults, and maybe a resident cat wanting some new friends.

Lesley is neutered, fully vaccinated and microchipped.

She is pictured here with her sister Delilah (tortie) chilling with their resident "uncles"

Hopper (M) HC4513

Age: 18 months
Must be homed with Skippy

Hopper is a curious and friendly young cat who loves to play and is looking for a home he can settle down in.   He loves to follow you around the  house calmly, enjoying a good stroke, with an hour or so of energetic playng throughout the day.

We probably should have called Hopper 'Romeo' and his girlfriend Skippy 'Juliet'.  They came into our care separately and Hopper was paired with Skippy who had spent longer living outside and so was more wary.   So to build her confidence we thought that putting them together would help her and this has worked well.   They love each other and Skippy follows Hopper everywhere.

Hopper and Skippy are neutered and fully vaccinated.  Hopper is the one in the front of the photo.

They would suit a home with enough space for them to retreat for naps and would enjoy a secure garden to explore

Cleo (F) HC4519

Age: 15 months

Cleo is a sweet, calm and quiet tabby cat. No fuss, no voice, no smelly poops, no bonkers running around in the morning.

Like every cat she might come across shy in the beginning but her curiosity is stronger then her fear of the unknown.

After she ventured into the garden, she fell in love with it. She spent all summer sunbathing on a lounger, chasing bugs, watching birds, watching the neighbours, but she never jumped the fence. She would squeak at you if you are not moving fast enough to open the door.

Her favourite toy is a shoe lace. She caries  it around the house, we often found it in front of our bedroom or by the front door when we come home. That’s why we think that she tries to please us.

She follows us around the house like a puppy demanding attention by dropping on her back for belly rubs. Her favourite place is to lay next to you demanding chest, head, belly, nose and paw massage, in one word, a complete spa day. All night she would sleep quietly next to us.

She is uncomfortable around young children, so we would be looking for a home with older children or a quiet adult only home.

She is fully vaccinated, spayed and microchipped.

  • OK with older children
  • Garden required
  • Cleo has been neutered, microchipped and is fully vaccinated

Cookie (M) HC4576

Age: 3 years
Urgent rehoming required

Cookie is a three year old handsome boy with unusual colouring.

He is an independent cat and quite affectionate but doesn't like to be over-petted so best suited to an adult only home .

He recently used up a couple of his nine lives as he was hit by a car.  Fortunately he has made an excellent and complete recovery.  We are now looking for a home for him on a very safe road and with a large garden for him to explore.  For this reason we are happy to take applications from outside our usual catchment area to find him the perfect home.

He wouldn't be happy to live in a home with other pets although he can sometimes make friends with others outside.

Cookie has been neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped and is ready for his new home.

Penny (F) HC4589

Age: 23 months

Penny came into our care with her four kittens a few months ago. Initially she was nervous, and understandably protective over her 2 week old  kittens. But as they grew, so did her confidence.

This is what her foster home says about her.

She will lick food from your fingers, and if you are lucky you can get a little head stroke in at the same time. She will happily trot around, and is particularly fascinated by the smells that come down the (blocked up) chimney.

When our next set of unrelated kittens came in she had a few lovely conversations with them through their pen, so I think she would be fine with another cat who could help her learn confidence with humans. She also happily lays next to my 3 house rabbits.

If someone had the time to befriend her I think she has the makings of a loyal pet. A quiet adult home would be best for her.

Penny has been spayed, vaccinated and miro-chipped.

Rino (M) HC4659

Age: 9 months

Rhino has come a very long way from the scared little boy he was when he first came into our care. This is what his foster home says.

He is a very handsome tabby boy, a sweet cat who loves strokes, and  gives little head butts  to request more.  Although he still likes his own space, Rhino also enjoys spending hours sleeping on the couch next to us. He has changed a lot since he arrived, he was always hiding and stayed in his safe place when we were in the same room.   Now, he does somersaults on the couch requesting our attention and purring. He likes to play as well, and loves chasing the laser pointer, he thinks he is a good hunter, although he usually fails to catch it!

We think he wlll be best suited to a quiet adult home as he's not used to children

Rhino has been neutered, fully vaccinated and micro-chipped.

Arthur (M) HC4687

Age: 22 weeks
Arthur is related to Peanut Arnie Mia

Arthur is an exceptionally handsome young fellow with his light ginger coat, his adorable white chest and paws, and one ginger spot on his front paw. Arthur is a gentle and sensitive boy, who likes to observe for a while before he joins in. But once he gets going, he is all in! He loves to play with toys on strings that are animated for him by a trusty human, but once he's got hold of it he doesn't let go and loves to wander around the house with toy in mouth, it's hilarious to see!

Arthur has a wonderful meow/trill that he uses to call out to his half sibling or cousin (we're not quite sure) Peanut and his foster cat mother Darcy, who come running to him. He is our little shy guy, not too keen to be touched yet, but he is improving every day and is now taking to sleeping on the bed at night with a human in it, so that is a massive step. When you are allowed to stroke him, he has the loudest most wonderful purr.

Arthur definitely needs to be rehomed with his relative from his colony, Peanut, as she boosts his confidence, and they really love each other. He would do really well in a loving home with grown ups only or older children in their teens who know how to be calm and quiet around him and know when to give him space. Arthur loves being out in the garden, although he does come running inside when there is a big noise, so a cat flap to get back inside is a must.

Arthur's trust in humans is improving every day, and we really believe he is going to be a real cuddle monster in time. We can't wait to see him flourish in his perfect Forever Home.

You can find more photos and videos of Arthur on his foster home's Facebook page.

Peanut (F) HC4688

Age: 22 weeks
Peanut is related to Arthur Arnie Mia

Life with Peanut brings something new every day. Our little 'Peanut butter' is an energetic, feisty, adorable little kitten who is always exploring, chasing, and getting herself into the funniest positions and situations. She makes us laugh all the time, and she is becoming an affectionate little lady who has us all wrapped around her little paw.

You can see that Peanut is a beautiful little girl with her Harlequin face and gorgeous colouring. She is so sleek and petite, a real mini panther. Peanut decided from day one she is in love with one particular foster mum, who can cuddle her, even pick her up, and Peanut loves snuggling her foot, which is so weird yet completely adorable at the same time!!!! But she is now realising that the other foster mums in the house are also great for back scratches, tummy rubs, and play time, so slowly but surely we can now all have a lovely fuss with her. She sleeps on the bed, preferably on top of a warm human.

Peanut adores her relative from her colony, her cousin or half-sibling Arthur, and they must definitely be homed together as they are a bonded pair. Peanut will flourish in a home with gentle humans who understand she doesn't like people stomping around, being approached too fast, or general loudness. So young children will be out of the question. Older teens and grownups would be perfect. Peanut loves being outside, chasing the falling leaves (oh the leaves!), bringing in sticks to play with in the house, hiding under bushes, and pouncing at everything and nothing. So a garden is a must, with easy access to come back in if she gets a fright.

Peanut is going to bring so much joy into someone's life, she certainly has with us! We can't wait to see her settled in her perfect Forever Home.

You can find more photos and videos of Peanut on her foster home's Facebook page.

Arnie (M) HC4689

Age: 22 weeks
Urgent rehoming required
Arnie is related to Arthur Peanut Mia

What can I say about little Arnie, he is the smallest and yet the most confident. He is definitely the extrovert, a tiny little fellow with a big personality. He is totally tame and amazed both the vet and myself at how affectionate he is. He loves being the centre of attention and is very curious, he likes to sit on my shoulder while I'm doing things. He sometimes mistakes me for a tree trunk though! but he will learn. He has a lot of energy and LOVES cuddles.

He rushes around like a mad thing and makes me laugh out loud. Play time and activities will keep him occupied so he, like his sister needs someone who has time for them. He will of course settle as he gets older. He is absolutely adorable and I am tempted myself but he needs a family who will keep he entertained.

ARNIE MUST BE HOMED WITH HIS SISTER MIA

Arnie will have started his vaccinations and been micro-chipped before homing

  • OK with older children

Mia (F) HC4690

Age: 22 weeks
Urgent rehoming required
Mia is related to Arthur Peanut Arnie

Little Mia is a very pretty tortoiseshell who had a very difficult start in life.  Her eyes were badly infected and despite best efforts by our vets one of her eyes had to be removed.

This is what her foster mum says about her.

Despite all she has been through Mia has  bounced back really quickly and gets stuck in to all the rough housing and playing with her siblings, and she can give as good as she gets.

She will need a bit of extra attention re her vision while getting used to a new home, and when she starts to go outside  She will  need somewhere with a large garden and away from roads. She has no visual awareness on her left side and anything coming from that direction she won't see.

However watching her rush around my home you would never know she was missing an eye.  Shes a very loving and confident little poppet and I am very very proud of her.  I hope there is a family who will see  past her "disability" and appreciate her for the adorable kitten she is.

SHE MUST BE HOMED WITH HER BROTHER ARNIE

Mia has started her vaccinations and been micro-chipped.

Georgie (M) HC4709

Age: 15 weeks
Georgie is related to Louis

Georgie and Louis are adorable bundles of energy.  They  are super curious and love to climb, run and jump to explore and play.  When not busy playing, they enjoy strokes and tummy rubs. They might join you when you are watching tv or reading and end up curling up on your lap or arm to nap.

They have lots of love, kisses and snuggles to share and promise to entertain and delight.

Georgie has turned out to be a huge cuddlebug. He purrs and snuggles when he is picked up and loves to sleep in our arms or next to us on the bed.

Zara and the Z crew (F) HC4723

Age: 22 weeks

introducing The Z Crew Zorro,Ziggy, Zara and Zoe plus Mittens.  They are beautiful sleek kittens with lovely silky soft fur.  They were rescued from a colony of stray cats.

When they arrived 3 weeks ago they were all super shy scaredy cats. They have come a long way and are much more trusting and friendly. They come to greet us when we enter the room and are great company. They enjoy watching tv with us and will try their best to help when we are working on the laptop or doing the crossword puzzle. They love to play with their toys and run, climb and jump to catch them.

Brave girls Zara, Zoe and Mittens will let us pick them up for cuddles and roll around for tummy rubs and reward us with lots of purring.

The boys Zorro and Ziggy are still a bit timid but time and lots of love will change that.  They sit on my lap and let me stroke them and I am allowed to snuggle them when I have treats – they will climb and get Dreamies off my shoulder or chest.

This is the ideal time to adopt them as they have started to trust and enjoy human company.

We think they need either an adult home or a family with respectful children who understand they will take a little bit of time to get used to their new home.

They have started their vaccinations and been microchipped.

  • OK with older children

  • Zara and the Z crew has been neutered, microchipped and is fully vaccinated

Daisy (F) HC4731

Age: 21 months
Daisy is related to Gerbera Felicia Aster Yarrow

Sweet Daisy is mother to the the daisies litter.  She is an adorable fluff ball - always wanting belly rubs (and food!) and is playful but as with most mother cats defers to the kittens.

She's quick to make friends with visitors, accepting head rubs and belly rubs and they are compulsory!

Daisy was found as a stray in a feral colony - she had not been there long and we think she was dumped because she was pregnant.  The size of her litter and her care for her kittens suggest she had had some previously.  Daisy adores looking after others and we were nearly successful with adopting unrelated kittens onto her before they became ill!

She can go to a home with another cat, preferably a male.  She is good with children but likes somewhere quiet to go to sleep!

For more photos and videos please go to her foster Mum's Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/MissSkimbleshanks/

Delilah (F) HC4739

Age: 15 weeks

Meet the delightful Delilah (also called Lexi and Muffin by her fosterer) came into our care in a bit of a sorry state. She was found in a shed age around 5 weeks, abandoned and hungry. She has come  a long way since then, now being a picture of health and mischief.

This beautiful calico girl likes to play and hide little things everywhere. She would sit close to her human and would play with your hair and hands.

Delilah could get on with another balanced friendy cat as she likes cat company. She got on very well with another foster cat we had.

As she was without her mum or siblings she hasn't learned all her kitten manners yet. She can nip and jump on her fosterer without warning.  She also "spits" sometimes, basically she is the kitten equivalent of a slightly naughty toddler but totally adorable at the same time.

She is probably best suited to someone  who has had cats before as she still needs a little  patience and guidance. She would learn to trust quickly and be lovely companion.

Delilah has started her vaccinations and been micro chipped.

Please check our catchment areas before applying to adopt

Gerbera (F) HC4743

Age: 11 weeks
Gerbera is related to Daisy Felicia Aster Yarrow

Gerbera is a sweet little girl, a little timid and for that reason should be adopted with either her sister, Felicia or brother Aster, as they will give her confidence.  She is easily brought out of her shell by playing and in time warms to all.  She will judge situations and make up her mind to then dive in!

Felicia (F) HC4745

Age: 11 weeks
Felicia is related to Daisy Gerbera Aster Yarrow

Felicia is a delight.  She is brave, playful, loving, wants belly rubs and to be in the thick of it!  She takes no rubbish from her brothers and will be the one exploring and finding out more mischief to kick off.

She is good with children and Gerbera would benefit from being adopted with her as Felicia will give her confidence.  She could be an only kitten as long as Gerbera has another sibling to be adopted with - or why not adopt all three!!

Aster (M) HC4746

Age: 11 weeks
Aster is related to Daisy Gerbera Felicia Yarrow

Aster… what do we say about Aster…. Bold, playful, bold, in the thick of it, bold…. He can play a little roughly with his siblings but he means well!

He is good with children, quiet when he needs to be and has even allowed a baby to gently stroke him!  He plonks himself on whatever lap is available, even if it means sitting on a siblings head!  He has lots of energy and could go as a single kitten if his sister Gerbera is able to be adopted with Felicia - or why not adopt all three!!.

Yarrow (M) HC4747

Age: 11 weeks
Yarrow is related to Daisy Gerbera Felicia Aster

Yarrow is a very special little kitten and needs a very special indoor only home as he is deaf.  He's a very bold little boy and makes no allowance for being deaf which means he MUST go to an indoor only home.

Yarrow is sweet, loving and very playful.  He will bond closely with his trusted human.  Deaf kittens tend either to be timid and nervous as they realise there is a problem or bold and unafraid and Yaz is definitely the bold one!  He's also very loving and must either be on his foster human's lap or asleep on her desk when she's working!

Once his foster human (Miss Skimbleshanks) realised he was deaf, she started to ensure that he knew when it was play time and dinner time as he doesn't wake easily.  His adopters need to tap near him to wake him and not wake him by touching as it startles him.

Miss Skimbleshanks will be starting to see whether he can be harness trained so he can go outdoors on walks.  Regardless Yaz needs to be living in a large flat with no way to get out of windows or a home where adopters  will build a catio for him that is escape proof.

This does mean that windows will need to have screen on so he can't get out in the summer but there are some excellent ones on the market we can explain about.

Yaz will be adopted on his own from the litter.  If the home already has indoor only cats, he will be fine with others.  If adopted on his own he MUST be adopted into a home where people are not out working all day and who will not go away and leave him alone a lot.

Tate & Lyle (F) HC4758

Age: 17 weeks
Tate & Lyle is related to Toffee

Tate and Lyle were born to a stray mother and were rescued by us with their brother.  Because they lived their early lives outdoors without human contact they are still a little fearful of humans.   Both have become more relaxed with their foster Mum and will be stroked when they are lying snoozing ... and even purr.  Neither struggle if you pick them up for a cuddle, but are not really relaxed yet and Tate will bury her head so you can’t see her!   They are inquisitive and love to play … and then sleep a lot!    Lyle is always first to investigate a new toy and explore.  Tate is particularly taken with toy mice and will carry them around to keep them for herself

We’d like a cat experienced home for Tate and Lyle together.  They won’t be suitable for young children, but fine for an adult-only home or one with older, sensible, caring children.  They need a home with people who are willing to continue socialisation and careful handling to build their confidence.  This pair will likely form a close bond with their humans but may always be wary of outsiders – maybe their mother told them not to talk to strangers!

Tate is the cute black and white girl with the big eyes and Lyle is the gorgeous creamy ginger boy.

They really are a super pair of kittens and will be a lovely addition to the right family

Toffee (M) HC4760

Age: 17 weeks
Toffee is related to Tate & Lyle

Toffee was born to a stray mother and rescued by us with his 2 siblings.  Having lived his early life outdoors without human contact he is still a little fearful but the most confident of his family with humans.  He really rather likes being stroked now when he is lying in a cosy bed all nice and relaxed and will purr with pleasure.   A typical kitten he loves to play and zoom around chasing any toy which comes his way.

We’d like a cat experienced home for Toffee where his confidence can be built on and he can continue to be gently socialised and handled.

He is the most gorgeous grey boy with white socks and bib

Frodo green collar (M) HC4763

Age: 14 weeks
Frodo green collar is related to Bilbo - white collar Sam

Frodo and his brothers Bilbo and Sam are all looking for their forever homes. This is what their fosterer says about them.

These are the nicest and friendliest kittens we have fostered. They are so people friendly that they could go to homes on their own as long as their people are around for most of the day. Frodo is the most chilled, Sam has the biggest purr and Bilbo is the most adventurous. All are lovely kittens that need their own people to love.’

They have started to mix with the resident girl cats but they are not that impressed with sharing their house with three lively little boys.

Bilbo - white collar is related to Frodo green collar Sam

Bilbo and his brothers Frodo and Sam are all looking for their forever homes.

Frodo is fully vaccinated and been micro-chipped

Myrtle (F) HC4781

Age: 16 weeks

Myrtle joined our foster family having had a fairly rough start in life. She was skinny and bedragelled and I thought: this one is going to need a lot of love to trust humans.

Boy! Was I wrong! From the beginning Myrtle was a bundle of energy who loves to chat and zoom around the house. Once she's finished doing whatever important kitten business she needs to do, she settles down on my lap/neck/chest/shoulder and purrs.

For one so tiny she has a very loud purr and loves to snuggle. She is quite possibly the most confident foster cat I have ever encountered. She has no fear and has never hid from me - or her foster brother. She is feisty and loveable and will make an amazing addition to any family.

Myrtle has started her vaccinations and been micro-chipped.

Freya (F) HC4789

Age: 19 weeks

Freya was handed in to one of our vets as she had been found wandering around for a few days. There were no missing posters and she isn't chipped.

She has recently moved into a foster home and this is what they say about her.

We have the  pleasure of fostering Freya. She is around 4 months old, a lively kitten who will get on with anyone.  She's always ready to purr and play.  She loves sensible children and would be a great addition to any family.

She gets on with our other foster kitten Delilah so they could  be adopted together, but she would be fine to go on her own is there is somebody at home for at least part of the day.

Freya has started her vaccinations and been micro-chipped.

Cassinia aka Molly (F) HC4809

Age: 7 years

Molly came into our care as her owner could no longer look after her.  She is a pedigree exotic short hair tortie tabby.

She has only been in her foster home for a short while and this is what they say about her

Now that little Molly has settled she is the sweetest cat imaginable.  She is eating regularly, loves being brushed and is very affectionate.  She is shy and would not fit in a boisterous household.

Molly has always been an indoor cat but she might like the opportunity to explore a well enclosed garden under supervision.

Ideally her adopter would be somebody who has previous experience with this breed

Molly is neutered and up to date with her vaccinations.
