Fostering is so rewarding

Could you help us?

Here is a piece written by one of our foster carers. If you think you might be able to help with fostering homeless cats or kittens and live in Chiswick, Ealing, Richmond, Twickenham and surrounding areas and have a spare room please contact us cats@haws-animals.org.uk

I am the luckiest foster mummy for two awesome abandoned sisters Raya and Ruby. This couldn’t have come at a better time for me. Recently, my life has been shattered not by the heart attack I had few months ago, but by the loss of my two beloved kitties, Tinkerbelle at the age of 17, and Bravehart who was 16.

The pain of losing them will never go away, but by fostering more cats it gave me a sense of being needed and the joy of coming home from work where gorgeous cats are waiting for me.

My two foster kittens benefit from my love and care, and I benefit from knowing that I am helping them towards finding a lovely forever home.
I would urge more people to come forward and offer their homes to foster kittens and cats. Rewards of doing so are absolutely ENORMOUS!!

I know that Ruby and Raya, and certainly many more others, have suffered from a bad start to their lives and they need extra care and attention to bring them out of themselves and to give them new confidence. I truly believe that fostering kittens and cats is so rewarding and is helping me heal.
