Every now and then we have an animal who needs specialist treatment which uses much more resources than we budget for. At these times we rely on the generosity of our members and supporters.
Gilbert has a congenital deformity called pectus excavatum. His ribs curve sharply inwards as his sternum is pushed back and up towards the spine. A ‘corset’ needs to be fitted to his sternum, to draw his bone forward and allow his heart and lungs to expand.
