Purrdy (M) HC4933

Age: 3 years

Purrdy was a stray being fed by a group of neighbours but as they all had their own pets couldn't keep him.  He has been in a foster home for a while now and this is what they say.

Purdy is a young and very pretty boy, mainly white with greyish tabby markings.  Aged about two years, he is active, playful, and talkative and will tell you when he wants to eat, go out and have a nice brushing and will happily roll over so that you can do his tummy and both sides. Second photo shows how relaxed he is waiting for his grooming session.

He has a tendency to nip, sometimes quite hard if something scares him, possibly due to his history as a stray and possible mistreatment in the past. For this reason we don't think he should be homed with children.    He is a sweet boy who will make a lovely companion to somebody cat experienced.   He must have access to a safe and secure garden.

  • Purrdy has been neutered, microchipped and is fully vaccinated

Princess (F) HC5044

Age: 3 years
Urgent rehoming required

Princess has had a rough start and took a while to settle but has since come out of her shell and continues to grow in confidence.

She greets me with chatty meows when I come in the door, she enjoys sitting on laps or will curl up close by on the warm laptop while I work or in a sunny spot. Princess is affectionate and enjoys being stroked, she will tolerate being picked up but prefers to come to you. She will use her paw to guide you to show she wants more strokes and will also give the occasional tap to let you know she has had enough. Princess is curious of visitors and will suss them out from a distance before approaching for closer inspection and chin rubs. She is playful and enjoys furry mice or chasing balls but the ultimate fun is a simple piece of string!

Princess is looking for owners who are understanding that she had a tough start so will allow her the time and space to settle at her own pace but once she trusts you she will be a wonderful, loving addition to your family.”

Snowdrop (F) HC5065

Age: 2 years
Urgent rehoming required

Meet Snowdrop. She was abandoned with her 3 kittens outside one of our vets amongst a pile of rubbish bags. They were in a broken carrier tied up in several polythene bags with no ventilation. We can't bear to think what might have happened if one of the vet nurses had not stayed late after the surgery had closed and found them.

Despite what happened to her she is a sweet and friendly little cat who deserves a good home after being treated so appallingly.

At first she was very shy and scared of loud noises. It took her 2 to 3 weeks to settle into her foster home and stop hiding, but now she likes jumping on to the sofa and sitting with her foster Dad while purring loudly.  He tells us that "she loves playing with the laser pen toy and running around, eats well (both dry and wet food), she looks for us in the morning and in the evening to give her food".

We think Snowdrop would do best as an only cat and she seems to settle better with men than women.

  • OK with older children

  • Snowdrop has been neutered, microchipped and is fully vaccinated

Spyder (M) HC5112

Age: 22 months

Spyder turned up in his fosterers garden, very scared and extremely hungry.  Vets confirmed he's not chipped and estimated his age at around 8/9 months.  He's quite a small cat for a boy.

Within 24 hours of being taken in he turned into an affectionate and playful little boy.  He used his litter box straight away and made friends with the other foster cat who was adopted about a week after Spyder arrived, so should be fine with another feline friendly young cat.  He has bundles of energy so if he does go with another cat it should be one who enjoys a good wrestling match. He would be too much for an older cat.

He is a wanderer and loves to  be outside  so it would need to be somewhere very safe from traffic,  he currently lives in a very quiet cul-de-sac.

  • OK with older children

  • Spyder has been neutered, microchipped and is fully vaccinated

Mrs Sophia Miracle (F) HC5123

Age: 2 years
Mrs Sophia Miracle is related to Himala

Mrs Sophia Miracle has a long name as she had a miracle litter after being named Sophia.  We rescued her and she had an attempted spay but part of her uterus was adhered to the bladder so the vet did not want to potentially cause damage and only removed the other part of her uterus.  As she was thin, when she put on weight it was put down that that.  But one morning, she had given birth to 4 healthy full term kittens!  She was determined to hide and keep her pregnancy.

Mira herself is very young, very energetic, very playful and very loving - to her kittens and her humans.  She is affectionate, purry, wants lap cuddles and is intelligent enough to learn routines and demand play to the point of avoiding being removed from the bedroom at night because she wants to be played with!  She loves playing with her feathered stick toy and charges around the bed after it. She's very funny.

She loves to climb up as high as possible, so far getting herself on top of wardrobes, bookcases and kitchen cupboards.  She is a little reactive to sudden noises and can run when new people arrive but then very quickly comes back to find out if the new people smell interesting and will give her head scratches, rewarding you with lots of purring.

Miracle must be adopted with her daughter, Himala, due to Mala's timidity.  This means they need a home with teenage or above children who will be mindful of Mala's timidity.

Mira has now been spayed successfully for a second time, is vaccinated and chipped and ready for her new home.

Michael (M) HC5167

Age: 5 years

Say hello to Michael - such a lovely boy who came into our care in a bit of a state.  He'd had a number of owners, and was relinquished to our vet.  Poor Michael was found to have problems with bladder stones; a very painful condition, and he needed an operation to unblock his tubes!  It's taken a while, but Michael is now stable and doing really well.  We think Michael is about 4 years old, but we can't be sure.

He's such an affectionate boy. The minute he sees you, all he wants is to love you and be fussed in return.  He's a great big cuddlebug and he will make a very loving companion. However, he can sometimes bat with his paw (no claws) so would be best in a home with no, or older, children.

Michael will need to stay on a special urinary food diet to prevent formation of bladder stones in the future.

  • OK with older children
  • Garden required
  • Michael has been neutered, microchipped and is fully vaccinated

Himala (F) HC5171

Age: 11 months
Himala is related to Mrs Sophia Miracle

Himala is Filipino for Miracle (see her mother Miracle's section for the story of how she hid her pregnancy).

Sweet little Mala is incredibly affectionate and now her siblings have all been adopted, she is a young Velcro cat to her human!  Currently her favourite place to sit is in front of the computer monitor to ensure you are working correctly and so she can keep your cursor in line.

Mala was initially unsure about humans and took some one on one work to gain her confidence.  She loves humans she knows now but is very nervous of new people and will hide.  However, once Mala is relaxed, she loves to play, particularly with things that fly, jumping very high and somersaulting as needed!

She also loves her little mice toys and will actively play fetch with them and you. She has her mother's penchant for climbing high and is regularly found on top of the wardrobe or doors or inside the drying clothes on the heated clothes horse.

Mala sweetly chirrups when she wants some love and has a loud cute purr, curling up in the crook of your arm, or under your knees. She has also been found hiding under the covers on the sofa!

Due to Mala's tendency to timidity and running away from sudden movements and noise, she needs to be adopted into a home where any children are teenagers or older, so they understand being empathetic to gain her trust.  She also needs to be adopted with her mother, Miracle who she is often curled up with.

Mala is fully vaccinated, chipped and neutered.

Cupcake (F) HC5180

Age: 2 years

Cupcake was quite wary at first when she arrived in her foster home, but quickly settled in and is now a very sociable and friendly cat.  She is super affectionate and nicknamed Grizzy because while she likes to pretend to be a grumpy aunt to any resident foster kittens, this cat is actually anything but!

She 's a total lap cat and will give you a hard stare until you assemble your legs into a suitable position for her to settle.    She also likes to perch on the arm of the sofa and put her paws up so she can jump up on your shoulder for a snuggle. She's not a huge fan of small children or venturing too far outdoors.

Rarely is there a cat with this much character and personality!

Lena (F) HC5186

Age: 16 months
Lena is related to Poppy
Must be homed with Poppy

Lena and Poppy were left at a local vet practice.  Lena is a pretty calico and white, Poppy is a stunning tabby.

Lena is the more confiident of the two, with Poppy watching and following her every move.

They are more timid than other cats, needing time to settle and approach you. They are still a little unsure of what it means to just have affection from us.   They probably would be best for a less hectic household. They are used to outdoors but they may need to be indoors a bit longer than other cats (to ensure they don't wander away).

Lena likes tall places to jump onto and Poppy loves anything box shaped, although they both love the fluffy mice we gave them.

It may be worth noting that both of them seem very interested in our boy kittens so could go to a household with a friendly young male.

WE WOULD REALLY LIKE TO MOVE THEM TO A FOSTER HOME INITIALLY SO THEY CAN GET USED TO BEING IN A DOMESTIC ENVIRONMENT BEFORE OFFERING THEM FOR ADOPTON. FOSTERING IS VERY REWARDING.

Poppy has only really just learnt what toys are, I don’t think she really experienced much before and it’s fair to say she really does love them.

Elodie (F) HC5219

Age: 22 months
Elodie is related to Melody
Must be homed with Melody

Elodie and her sister Melody are lovely cats who were found in a disused carpark and a kind man who was feeding stray cats there alerted us to Melody who had very young kittens hidden in bushes. We managed to get Melody, her kittens and her sister Elodie. We think that both cats had probably been dumped there at some stage as they were not feral, although very shy, but they came up to the man who fed them.

In our time with Elodie, we’ve seen her confidence grow. Although she’s the shyer and quieter of the sisters, Elodie is curious and likes to explore her surroundings. She didn’t take long before she was happy to spend the day in the same room as us.

At this point, Elodie isn’t yet ready for us to stoke her fully, but she is happy to come and sniff your hand and is showing initial signs of progress after allowing a few small, gentle strokes of her paw or back when very relaxed. We’re hopeful in time she’ll progress further. She does, however, have a lovely way of showing you she knows you care… she slowly closes her eyes when you talk to her, showing a look of contentment.

Elodie, does however show a slightly bolder side when it comes to her favourite thing, eating! If you’re too slow delivering her food, she won’t hesitate to use her voice to get her message across.

Elodie’s favourite pastime is watching TV. When she does, she really gives it her full attention and always goes for a front row view! She loves watching cat TV, any other animal programs, as well as sports, the news and in fact any other shows she feels will broaden her education.

Elodie does like to play when she gets a chance, as her sister often jumps in first. She’s a bit calmer than Melody, and if it’s a fluffy toy, she’ll gently wash it when caught rather than bite it.

In our experience we’d say that Elodie is the sensible one. She’s always looking out for her sister and, if Melody isn’t nearby, she’ll call for her and not settle until she finds her. Which is really sweet. These sisters definitely have a lovely bond together!

Elodie needs an adult only home where she can be given the time to develop her confidence and trust in her owners at her own pace.

Melody is a very chatty girl. She talks to you throughout the day, some of the time to make sure her fosterers know what she wants. This chattiness goes beyond just asking for food or to play, she also likes to keep you updated on what she is doing throughout the day.

She is more confident with humans than her sister is at this time. She enjoys having a stroke and most days will come to you to ask for one. If you’re lucky, she may even let you stroke her lovely soft belly.

Melody loves to show off her athletic abilities. She would certainly be a great contestant in a cat high jump competition. She often reaches table height or higher when trying to catch her favourite wand toy.

Both she and her sister Elodie also enjoy watching TV. Sometimes her curiosity takes her behind it to see if she can find what she has seen on the screen. Melody is the more adventurous one of the sisters and was the first to explore her new surrounding at their foster home, with Elodie following after.

Melody has a really strong bond with her sister. You can see a look of happiness on her face they regularly wash each other, which is really sweet to see and, despite having a bed each, Melody always chooses to squeeze into the same bed as her sister each night.

Melody needs an adult only home and she must rehomed with her sister.

Pixie (F) HC5261

Age: 12 months
Pixie is related to Pippin
Must be homed with Pippin

Piixie and Pippin were born outside to a stray cat, and because they lived outside without human contact for the first few weeks of their lives they were really timid at first.

They have settled in well, still a bit nervous but enjoy racing round the house.  Pippin has progressed to sitting on my lap, Pxie will sit near me and I have been able to give her some strokes on her terms so things are improving nicely.  They both adore my other pair of fosters so would do well with another feline friendly cat.

Because they are more shy than many of our kittens we think they would thrive better if they were to stay together and in a home without young children

Kabir the Great (M) HC5298

Age: 21 months

Meet Kabir.  His name means 'Great' in Arabic.  He is a beautiful Egyptian Mau cat who has come to the UK from Abu Dhabi.

Kabir loves to play, loves soft blankets and has a good appetite!  He is very affectionate, loves human company and other cats, and particularly loves the ladies.

He has been through such a lot in  his shortl life and really deserves his own home.  Ideally this would be somewhere nowhere near busy roads as he rather likes to visit neighbours to make friends with them and their cats.   In fact he has been taken to a local vet a few times as a suspected stray because of his visits to the local neighbours.

Kabir is neutered, fully vaccinated and microchipped and looking for his forever home, ideally something more rural with plenty of space to safely play and roam.

Den (M) HC5309

Age: 8 months

Den is shy with new people but incredibly affectionate and cuddly once he gets to know you.  He's super friendly and will come running to see you when you come home and loves to hang out wherever you are in the house.  He seems to be fine with other cats and is great with children of all ages!

Trixie (F) HC5312

Age: 8 months
Trixie is related to Toffee
Must be homed with Toffee

Trixie and Toffee - two beautiful sisters that had a bad start in life and are now slowly learning not to be afraid.

They have been with us a couple of weeks and have come on so much. Toffee loves being stroked and purrs happily when you tickle her tummy. She comes running over in the hope of a treat.

Trixie is a little more cautious but is desperate to join in. They are both very playful and love chasing toys around the room.

They would love a quieter home with someone who is willing to have a little bit of patience. You will be rewarded with the most amazing pair of cats.

We would keep these 2 if our resident cat wasn't such a bully. They really are the most adorable pair.

Theodore (M) HC5335

Age: 11 months

Whilst Theo certainly fills the narrative of a 'scaredy cat' when it comes to us human folk, he really is a confident boy when it comes to socialising & playing with the other cats & dogs here at his foster home.

He most definitely has stranger danger but he is the polar opposite when it comes to his primary caregivers. He loves a good lap to snuggle into & is incredibly vocal. A total foodie!

Theo is a very handsome chap who is the most adorable sleeper- We've more photos on our phones than our storage accommodates.

Due to Theo's tendency to hide when guests arrive & his magical skills to vanish until he is 100% certain they've left, it has deemed difficult for potential adopters to meet him.

We are very happy to send pictures, videos & have video calls.

It's imperative that any potential adopters are mindful & patient with this little fella, he needs time & trust to be able to feel safe & secure.

Tinsel (F) HC5338

Age: 22 months

Meet a little lady called Tinsel.  As you might guess by her name she came into our care in the run up to Christmas!

Tinsel was clearly once somebody's pet but abandoned and took her 3 kittens off to the garden of a lovely couple who tried to find where she came from and when that drew a blank they fed the family for us until we were able to trap them.

Tinsel was a little nervous in her foster home at first but is gaining in confidence.  She is sweet natured and loves to play with her toys, especially anything with a tail, and enjoys chasing a dressing gown cord!   Tinsel likes rolling and showing her lovely apricot coloured, spotty tummy. She isn't greedy or fussy when it comes to food.  She enjoys looking out at the garden watching the wood pigeons.

We think Tinsel would like a quiet home with no children

Bobbi Bear (M) HC5343

Age: 4 years

Meet Bobbi Bear. One of the sweetest tabby boys we’ve seen, with his chubby cheeks and big paws you can see where he gets his name from.  He had a hard time and deserves a forever home.

Bobbi was handed into the vets as an unwanted stray. We know that he had a home before but they never allowed him to come inside. Unfortunately we think this is where he most likey contracted FIV. He isn’t a fighter at all- he adores everyone.

His previous ‘home / house’ was actually just being chucked out- the previous people never cared for him, he tried to get into the house but they would throw rocks and items at him to deter him. He is actually very timid around soft ball toys, if you throw near or around him he gets startled and scared. Most definitely traumatised by the experience. He has a lot of cuts on him that have healed, he even had a deep abscess in his foot when he came to us

He is a very friendly boy who would  love to spend some quality time with someone that would allow him to flourish. He can, at first, be a little bit shy when meeting new people but once he knows you he will knead away! He loves to make biscuits on any blanket or towel whenever someone greets him. He is so gentle, although part of his name is bear it’s really just his teddybear personality.

We’re slowly getting him used to exploring different toys and treats- he does love his food, so far cheese dreamies have gone down very well.

It’s also worth mentioning he is very curious about other cats, never shown any aggression but actually seems interested in them. He could potentially go to someone with another FIV friendly cat.

Bobbi has been neutered and micro-chipped and will be starting his vaccinations.

Rosie (F) HC5345

Age: 15 years

Dear Rosie is a really lovely old girl.  She was handed in to our vet by a member of the public, who had been feeding her since mid 2023, but was unable to keep her due to health issues.

Rosie was chipped and registered, and we have tried persistently to contact the registered owners but to no avail.  As Rosie had been there for over 2 weeks, she therefore passed into our care.

Rosie turned 15 recently - she is a very friendly and loving cat and it would be wonderful to find her a forever home where she can live out her twilight years being thoroughly fussed and pampered.  She has been checked over by our vet and shows no immediately obvious health problems.  She also looks as though she has had dental work fairly recently as her teeth are pretty clean.

If you can offer the wonderful Rosie a forever home, you will be blessed with a wonderful companion. She would, however, need to be the only cat in the house.

Rosie has been chipped and spayed, and will come to you having had her vaccinations.

Willow (F) HC5366

Age: 2 years

Willow came to us from people who were unable to care for her any longer.

She is a sweet gentle soul who’s coming out of her shell day by day.  As you can see from the photo she isn't interested in a posh bed and loves her cardboard "hut" .  The vet nurses who were caring for her after being spayed love her.   One of them has taken her 5 year old child to meet Willow who was very happy, so we think she will be fine with children and she is also good with other cats.

  • OK with older children

  • Willow has been neutered, microchipped and has started vaccinations

Rambo (M) HC5377

Age: 3 years

Rambo found his way to a family who already had two cats, he was outside in the winter. They kept him warm over winter but wanted to take him on as their own however once taking him to a vet they found out he was FIV positive. This meant they they unfortunately couldn’t keep him with their other cats and had to try to rehome him. Rambo hasn't an aggresseive  bone in his body, he has shown nothing but love towards us and other FIV cats.

He is a gentle giant. A very friendly cat who loves nothing more than to be around people. He is just a lovable boy who is always so happy to see you. It would be lovely to see him finally have a permanent home that he is so desperate to have. He loves his dreamies and catnip toys as well as a soft blanket to curl up on.

He does have a potential to go with another friendly FIV cat.

He’s fully vaccinated, neutered and micro-chipped.

Josie's kittens (unknown) HC5380

Age: 8 weeks

Here are some photos of  kittens who were born in our care to mum Josie  There are two ginger, one tabby, one black and one who looks like a dark grey.

We don't know the sexes yet and who needs to be homed with who but will update once we know.

They are too young to be adopted yet but we will  advise when they can be visited and reserved.

Faris (M) HC5385

Age: 3 years

Faris was handed into the vets when his previous owners found he was extremely upset with the arrival of their newborn and asked that he was put to sleep.    When he first arrived he was very distressed but after only one day with us he came out of his shell. From day one, with a quieter atmosphere he was a gentle huggable boy. He really thrives in a calm environment. He is a very sweet bot who purs, purs and purs away. He would like for someone to be home with him, he follows you around quite a lot. He loves chicken treats and your attention. He sits down ont op of the newspapers just watching me tidy up.

He would prefer a quieter home, loud noises can startle him. For example, hoovering he really doesn’t like- as long as he has somewhere he can hide and go up high he’s okay but doesn’t like it near him.

He is very friendly towards other cats, he grew up with another cat. A happy snd healthy young kitty that would love nothing more than spend his days just relaxing with someone, preferably with some dreamies to hand.

He has a slightly grumpy looking face but he really isn't and has rather magnificent whiskers

He's neutered and chipped.

Murphy (M) HC5387

Age: 14 weeks
Murphy is related to Octavia

Oh little Murphy, he has such a cute little 'old man' face, we love it! He is a sweet little confident man, playing and running until he is exhausted and falls asleep with his siblings. He is a friendly and gentle kitten that can be picked up and handled, although when he is in playing mode he is of course faaaar too busy for cuddles. He has just discovered ping pong balls and loves to bat them around and chase them, it's adorable.

Murphy loves to play and chill with his siblings, so a family that is able to take him with at least one of his siblings would definitely be better for him.

You can see more photos and videos on the foster home's Facebook page.

Octavia (F) HC5390

Age: 14 weeks
Octavia is related to Murphy

Little Octavia is a feisty little mini panther. She runs around, climbs, can get herself into a bit of a pickle and we need get her out or the cat tree or lamp shade! She loves chasing strings and balls, and runs around chasing her siblings. When she's done, she happily joins the 'kitten pile' for a nap on the chair.

She's a lovely and friendly little girl, you can pick her up for snuggles and kisses and she is always curious to see what you're up to, sniffing around to explore new things.

She would really love to go to her new home with one or more of her siblings to make sure she can continue her play fights and chases and of course sibling snuggles.

You can see more photos and videos on the foster home's Facebook page.

Ted (M) HC5394

Age: 9 weeks
Ted is related to Ruby
Must be homed with Ruby

When it comes to character, you’d be hard pushed to find a better pair then our lovely Ruby and Ted.  Ruby (Female) has a beautiful longish haired black coat which has a distinct tinge of red in the sun, and handsome Ted (Male) has the most gorgeous ginger coat and pink nose.  As you can see both have the cutest faces and beautiful eyes.

Ruby and Ted are siblings and very close, and therefore can only go together as a pair.  When they are not chasing each other or wrestling, they are exploring the house or cuddling up together.  They particularly like running through their kitten tunnel to surprise my other cats. Their other favourite pastime is getting the better of me.  Ted has a very sweet and trusting nature, whilst Ruby is just as sweet but a little more timid initially.  Once they’ve had a chance to get to know you they are affectionate, gentle and love to be stroked or have a little chin rub – and their purrs will let you know how much they appreciate it.

They would be more settled in a home with adults or a family with older children.  They will be available for adoption soon but can be reserved from now.

They will have started their vaccinations and been micro-chipped before adoption.

Leo (M) HC5405

Age: 22 weeks

Leo was picked up a a stray.  He is very timid, not aggressive at all but he just flinches and freezes whenever you go near him.  He doesn’t understand yet that humans won’t hurt him and having to treat him for a sore eye hasn't helped.

He is very much a work in progress and it would probably be good for him to go with a friendly young cat who could teach him that humans are a good thing.  He is a beautiful boy who deserves a home.

If somebody experienceed with very timid cats could foster him initially that would be really helpful to gradually bring him out of his shell.

He will be neutered, vaccinated and chipped before the vets.

These gorgeous kittens were handed over to us with their mum Belle.  They are friendly and very sweet.   They are too young to be homed yet and we will update their profiles as they grow and their personaities become clearer.

We can already tell the tabby and white kitten is the leader of the pack at the moment - photo 3

They will have started their vaccinations and been micro-chipped before homing and their mum will be spayed.

Wendy Peter and Michael (F) HC5421

Age: 20 weeks

Meet Wendy, Peter and Michael.  They were taken in by a kind person who was horrified to realise all three have had their ears cut which is cruel and disgusting.  Our vets are looking after them and apart from their damaged ears  are healthy and sweet.  It doesn't impact their hearing.

Wendy the little girl is pretty confident so can probably be homed alone, the boys spend a little more time together so could go together but would probably be fine to be separated too. They are very sweet, Wendy is very affectionate and loves a cuddle. The boys are a little more reserved, peter (slightly) the braver of the 2 but also love a fuss and will seek out affection as well. Playful and love catnip!

Despite what has happened to them they still trust humans.  We really hope we can find them good homes, they certainluy deserve it.

They will have started their vaccinations, been neutered and micro-chipped before adoption
