NATALIE GARTSHAW, one of our new foster carers is doing a 10K run to raise money for HAWS on 18th July. If you would like to sponsor her here then the money will go straight to our charity. Please click on Hugo the cat (left) or click here. Thank you from all the animals!

Thank you to all who kindly donate money for our animals. Also to everyone else who helps in any way. We really do appreciate everything you do, whether it be rehoming, fostering, transporting, fundraising or even just spreading the word about our charity.

We hope you will spare a thought for all our animals which are still living in foster - for some it is becoming almost a permanent arrangement. To donate please click on Hugo (the cat!) - thank you.

Bertie's year should be a good one - we'd love you to read his story...

HAWS looks after some animals that can never be rehomed or need extensive medical care - Bertie is a very special case. He had major surgery and for as long as quality of life is maintained we will always follow our motto of "compassion first".

To read about him and possibly help us by making a small donation we would love you to click here to read more.

Suited to Fostering?

Fostering gives you the benefit of animal companionship without the worries of permanent ownership. And it can be a very rewarding experience, allowing you to see an animal develop into a pet able to lead a happy fulfilled life.

If you would like to foster then click for more details. We've also put up a question and answer page to help you if you're already thinking about fostering.

Ferals

Feral cats are domestic cats and their offspring living in the wild.  Originally they may have been pets which have been abandoned by uncaring owners, or have simply wandered away from home and got lost.
