This little girl needs our help - now we need yours...
This 10 week old kitten was found by one of our volunteers with both back legs broken and a fractured hip. She also had badly infected bite wounds with injuries estimated to be at least 3 days old and by then a severe infection had set in. We feared the worst but she is a fighter - the operation to repair her shattered legs has been a success and the infection is subsiding. She is still "in hospital" but doing very well. Her medical bills are going to be high, even with discount for the charity, but we have to be true to our principle of non-destruction unless advised otherwise. She is proof that our ethos is right. All suggestions for a name for this special little kitten are welcome by submitting this simple form. If you would like to donate to help pay for her surgery please visit our donations page.
Our heartfelt thanks go to Richard Bleckman of Roehampton Veterinary Clinic AND to everyone who has offered a name or donated to help pay for her care so far - the response has been overwhelming.

A hard mountain to climb - Mount Kilimanjaro
A member of Hounslow Animal Welfare Society is doing something amazing to raise money for us and another very needy charity - climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest free standing mountain in the World. With the climb due to begin soon we'd love you to read Sebs words and hopefully sponsor him and support two very needy charities. |

Could
you sponsor a permanent resident?
HAWS looks after some animals that can never be rehomed. Some
medical conditions mean that they need regular supervision and
it's just too risky for them to leave our care. For as long
as quality of life is maintained we will always follow our motto
of "compassion first".

from a one off or regular financial contribution then please

cats are domestic cats and their offspring living in the wild. Originally
they may have been pets which have been abandoned by uncaring
owners, or have simply wandered away from home and got lost.
